Description

(項目9)
上記顎挿入物の組織接触表面が、上記モノリシックな顎部材の上記組織接触表面に対して上昇して、該モノリシックな顎部材と対向する顎部材との間に、約0.001インチ〜約0.006インチの範囲のギャップを形成している、上記項目のうちのいずれかに記載のエンドエフェクタアセンブリ。
(項目10)
上記顎挿入物が上記空洞から選択的に取り外し可能である、上記項目のうちのいずれかに記載のエンドエフェクタアセンブリ。
(項目11)
対向する顎部材を製造する工程であって、少なくとも一方の顎部材がモノリシックであり、そして空洞が規定されている、工程;
顎挿入物を製造する工程であって、該顎挿入物の少なくとも一部分が、該モノリシックな顎部材のサーマルマスを減少させるように構成された誘電材料を備える、工程;および
該顎挿入物を該モノリシックな顎部材の該空洞内に配置する工程、
を包含する、電気外科器具と一緒に使用するためのエンドエフェクタアセンブリを製造する方法。

Claims (15)
- 1対の対向する第一の顎部材および第二の顎部材であって、該第一の顎部材および該第二の顎部材の各々が、組織接触表面を有し、該第一の顎部材および該第二の顎部材のうちの少なくとも一方は、モノリシックであり、そして少なくとも一方の顎部材は、組織を把持するために、第一の開位置から第二の閉位置へと、他方に対して移動可能であり、該少なくとも一方のモノリシックな顎部材には、該顎部材内に空洞が規定されている、第一の顎部材および第二の顎部材;
少なくとも一方のモノリシックな顎部材の該空洞内に選択的に配置可能な誘電性顎挿入物であって、該誘電性顎挿入物は、該少なくとも一方のモノリシックな顎部材のサーマルマスを減少させるように構成された誘電材料を備える、誘電性顎挿入物;ならびに
該誘電性顎挿入物の場所において該少なくとも一方のモノリシックな顎部材の該空洞内に交代的に配置可能なハイブリッド顎挿入物であって、該ハイブリッド顎挿入物の一部分は、誘電材料を備え、該ハイブリッド顎挿入物の一部分は、電気外科エネルギー源から受容された電気外科エネルギーを伝導するように構成された伝導性材料を備える、ハイブリッド顎挿入物、
を備える、電気外科器具と一緒に使用するためのエンドエフェクタアセンブリ。 - 前記顎挿入物が、該顎挿入物に沿った切断チャネルを規定し、該切断チャネルは、該切断チャネルに沿って切断要素を受容するように構成されている、請求項1に記載のエンドエフェクタアセンブリ。
- 前記顎挿入物が、前記少なくとも一方のモノリシックな顎部材にオーバーモールドされている前記空洞内に配置されている、請求項1に記載のエンドエフェクタアセンブリ。
- 前記誘電性顎挿入物が、プラスチック、セラミックおよびエポキシのうちの1つから作製されている、請求項1に記載のエンドエフェクタアセンブリ。
- 前記顎挿入物が、少なくとも1つの機械的インターフェースを備え、該機械的インターフェースは、対応する機械的インターフェースと協働して、該顎挿入物を前記空洞内に選択的に配置するように構成されている、請求項1に記載のエンドエフェクタアセンブリ。
- 前記少なくとも1つの機械的インターフェースが少なくとも1つの付勢部材を備える、請求項5に記載のエンドエフェクタアセンブリ。
- 前記少なくとも一方のモノリシックな顎部材の前記組織接触表面と、前記空洞内に配置された前記顎挿入物の組織接触表面とが、互いに対してずれている、請求項1に記載のエンドエフェクタアセンブリ。
- 前記空洞内に配置された前記顎挿入物の組織接触表面が、前記モノリシックな顎部材の前記組織接触表面に対して上昇して、該モノリシックな顎部材と対向する顎部材との間に、約0.001インチ〜約0.006インチの範囲のギャップを形成している、請求項1に記載のエンドエフェクタアセンブリ。
- 前記顎挿入物が前記空洞から選択的に取り外し可能である、請求項1に記載のエンドエフェクタアセンブリ。
- 対向する顎部材を製造する工程であって、少なくとも一方の顎部材がモノリシックであり、そして空洞が規定されている、工程;
誘電性顎挿入物を製造する工程であって、該顎挿入物が、該モノリシックな顎部材のサーマルマスを減少させるように構成された誘電材料を備える、工程;
該モノリシックな顎部材の該サーマルマスを減少させるように構成された誘電材料の一部分を含み、かつ、電気外科エネルギー源から受容された電気外科エネルギーを伝導するように構成された伝導性材料の一部分を含む、ハイブリッド顎挿入物を製造する工程;および
該誘電性顎挿入物または該ハイブリッド顎挿入物を該モノリシックな顎部材の該空洞内に配置する工程、
を包含する、電気外科器具と一緒に使用するためのエンドエフェクタアセンブリを製造する方法。 - 切断チャネルを規定するように前記顎挿入物を製造する工程をさらに包含し、該切断チャネルは、該切断チャネルに沿って切断要素を受容するように構成されている、請求項10に記載の方法。
