Description
本発明は、高信頼かつ高性能無線内視鏡カメラ装置と、画像を内視鏡カメラ・ヘッドから制御装置へ無線送信する方法に関するものである。
無線内視鏡カメラ装置であって、
患者の体内の組織を見る外科用内視鏡と、
前記内視鏡によって見られる内視鏡画像を表すデジタル画像データを処理するカメラ・ヘッドで、近端部と遠端部があり、前記遠端部で前記内視鏡に着脱可能で接続されるカメラ・ヘッドと、
前記カメラ・ヘッドに含まれ、前記内視鏡画像を表すに必要なデジタル画像データ量を軽減する圧縮装置と、
前記カメラ・ヘッドに含まれ、前記圧縮デジタル画像データをリモート受信装置へ送信する送信装置と、
前記カメラ・ヘッドの本体上に設置され、前記送信装置と通信し前記送信装置から前記圧縮デジタル画像データを受信し、前記圧縮デジタル画像データを前記リモート受信装置に無線中継する複数のアンテナと、
からなることを特徴とする。
さらに別の実施の形態では、カメラ・ヘッドから制御装置にビデオ画像信号を送るために、UVWのような高性能の短距離無線技術が用いられる。
無線技術では、必要とされる電力が少ないので、カメラ・ヘッドのバッテリー寿命の増大も達成される。
さらに別の実施の形態では、複数の装置間での通信ミスや干渉をできるだけ少なくするために、各装置において1つの送信装置を1つの受信装置にロックしたり同期させたりすることによって、前記制御装置がその対応するカメラ・ヘッドからだけ無線信号を受け入れるようにすることができる。
充電可能バッテリーなどの携帯用電源装置が、前記カメラ・ヘッドに対して電源を提供する。1つの実施の形態によれば、前記カメラ・ヘッドは複数の携帯用電源装置を同時に内蔵して、それによって、他の電源装置が前記カメラ・ヘッドに電力を供給している間に、1つの電源装置を交換できるようにしている。別の実施の形態においては、充電されたバッテリーがなかったり、あるいは無線通信が中絶するなどの緊急事態が発生した場合、前記カメラ・ヘッドを制御装置に接続してカメラが作動し続けることができるようにするために、滅菌可能なバックアップ・ケーブルが使用される。
カメラ・ヘッドと制御装置との間の無線通信の信頼性を向上させるために、さらに別の実施の形態においては、カメラ・ヘッドと制御装置のいずれか一方あるいは両方のための複数のアンテナが使用される。これら複数のアンテナを前記カメラ上、あるいは操作室内でいろいろな位置と構成で配置することができる。

Claims (4)
- 無線内視鏡カメラ装置であって、
患者の体内の組織を見る外科用の内視鏡を設け、
前記内視鏡によって見られる内視鏡画像を表すデジタル画像データを処理するカメラ・ヘッドを設け、
前記カメラ・ヘッドは、近端部と遠端部とを備え、前記遠端部が前記内視鏡に着脱可能に接続され、
前記カメラ・ヘッドは、前記内視鏡画像を表すに必要なデジタル画像データ量を圧縮する圧縮装置を備え、
前記カメラ・ヘッドから離れて、リモート受信装置を設け、
前記カメラ・ヘッドは、前記圧縮装置によって圧縮された圧縮デジタル画像データを前記リモート受信装置へ送信する送信装置を備え、
前記カメラ・ヘッド上には、前記送信装置と通信し、前記送信装置から前記圧縮デジタル画像データを受信するとともに、前記圧縮デジタル画像データを前記リモート受信装置へ送信するための複数の送信用アンテナを設置し、
前記複数の送信用アンテナは、前記カメラ・ヘッドの前記遠端部に着脱可能に接続される前記内視鏡の長軸方向と平行になるように、前記カメラ・ヘッドから一方が外側に突出していることを特徴とする無線内視鏡カメラ装置。 - 無線内視鏡カメラ装置であって、
患者の体内の組織を見る外科用の内視鏡を設け、
前記内視鏡によって見られる内視鏡画像を表すデジタル画像データを処理するカメラ・ヘッドを設け、
前記カメラ・ヘッドは、近端部と遠端部とを備え、前記遠端部が前記内視鏡に着脱可能に接続され、
前記カメラ・ヘッドは、前記内視鏡画像を表すに必要なデジタル画像データ量を圧縮する圧縮装置を備え、
前記カメラ・ヘッドから離れて、リモート受信装置を設け、
前記カメラ・ヘッドは、前記圧縮装置によって圧縮された圧縮デジタル画像データを前記リモート受信装置へ送信する送信装置を備え、
前記カメラ・ヘッド上には、前記送信装置と通信し、前記送信装置から前記圧縮デジタル画像データを受信するとともに、前記圧縮デジタル画像データを前記リモート受信装置へ送信するための複数の送信用アンテナを設置し、
前記複数の送信用アンテナは、前記カメラ・ヘッド上で、前記カメラ・ヘッドの表面から突出しないように、前記カメラ・ヘッドの表面と同一平面に取り付けられ、
前記複数の送信用アンテナのうち少なくとも1本のアンテナは、前記カメラ・ヘッドの前記遠端部に着脱可能に接続される前記内視鏡の長軸方向と平行になるように、前記カメラ・ヘッドから一方が外側に突出していることを特徴とする無線内視鏡カメラ装置。 - 無線内視鏡カメラ装置であって、
患者の体内の組織を見るために電気エネルギーが必要な少なくとも1つの装置を内蔵した外科用の内視鏡を設け、
前記内視鏡は、近端部と遠端部とを備えるとともに、前記近端部上に少なくとも1つの電気接触子を備え、
前記内視鏡で見られる内視鏡画像を表すデジタル画像データを処理するカメラ・ヘッドを設け、
前記カメラ・ヘッドは、近端部と遠端部とを備え、
前記カメラ・ヘッドの前記遠端部は、前記内視鏡との間で相対回転できるように、前記内視鏡に着脱可能に接続され、
前記カメラ・ヘッドの前記遠端部上には、前記カメラ・ヘッドから電力を受け取って通電される少なくとも1つの環状接触部を取り付け、
前記カメラ・ヘッドは、前記内視鏡画像を表すに必要なデジタル画像データ量を圧縮する圧縮装置を備えるとともに、前記圧縮装置によって圧縮された圧縮デジタル画像データを送信する送信装置を備え、
前記カメラ・ヘッドから離れて、前記送信装置によって送信された前記圧縮デジタル画像データを受信する受信装置を設け、
前記少なくとも1つの電気接触子は、前記カメラ・ヘッドから前記内視鏡へと電力を伝えるために、前記内視鏡が前記カメラ・ヘッドに接続され、前記カメラ・ヘッドと前記内視鏡との間で相対回転する期間、前記カメラ・ヘッドから前記内視鏡へ電力を伝えさせるとき、前記少なくとも1つの通電された環状接触部と電気的に接触することを特徴とする無線内視鏡カメラ装置。 - 前記少なくとも1つの通電された環状接触部は、前記内視鏡と前記カメラ・ヘッドとの間にある回転角度によって変化する電気抵抗を示すことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の無線内視鏡カメラ装置。
