Description
一般に、軽質炭酸カルシウムの製造方法としては、(1)石灰の焼成装置その他から得られる二酸化炭素を含有したガスと石灰乳との反応によるもの、(2)アンモニアソーダ法における炭酸アンモニウムと塩化カルシウムとの反応によるもの、(3)炭酸ナトリウムの苛性化によって水酸化ナトリウムを製造する石灰乳と炭酸ナトリウムとの反応によるもの等が知られている。
軽質炭酸カルシウムとして、日本製紙株式会社の工場において苛性化工程で製造された固形分濃度75%の塊状軽質炭酸カルシウムを用いた。この湿り粉体100部に重量平均分子量13000のポリアクリル酸分散剤(APN−II、日本製紙ケミカル製)0.6部と水を添加し、アトライター(三井鉱山社製)にて濃度73%、平均粒子径4.5μmとなるよう処理した。
分散剤量を0.7部とした以外は、実施例1と同様にして炭酸カルシウムを湿式粉砕した。
分散剤量を0.8部とした以外は、実施例1と同様にして炭酸カルシウムを湿式粉砕した。
分散剤量を0.9部とした以外は、実施例1と同様にして炭酸カルシウムを湿式粉砕した。
分散剤量を0.5部とした以外は、実施例1と同様にして炭酸カルシウムを湿式粉砕した。
分散剤量を0.4部とした以外は、実施例1と同様にして炭酸カルシウムを湿式粉砕した。
Claims (4)
- 硫酸塩法またはソーダ法によるパルプ製造工程の苛性化工程で得られるカルサイト構造を有する軽質炭酸カルシウム(苛性化軽質炭酸カルシウム)から湿式粉砕により軽質炭酸カルシウムスラリーを製造する方法であって、
苛性化軽質炭酸カルシウムを粗粉砕して平均粒子径が3〜6μmの粗スラリーを得ること、および、この粗スラリーを竪型サンドグラインダーで微粉砕して平均粒子径が0.6〜1.0μmの軽質炭酸カルシウムスラリーを得ること、を含み、
重量平均分子量5000〜30000のポリアクリル酸系分散剤を軽質炭酸カルシウムに対して0.55〜0.85重量部添加して湿式粉砕を行う、上記製造方法。 - 前記苛性化軽質炭酸カルシウムが塊状であり、平均粒子径が10〜20μmである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- ポリアクリル酸系分散剤の添加量が、0.70〜0.85重量部である、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 粗粉砕の際にポリアクリル酸塩および/またはリグニンスルホン酸塩を分散剤として用いる、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の方法。
