選択透過膜(水素透過膜)としてパラジウム膜を用い、触媒として白金をペレット状のジルコニア質担体の表面に被覆したものを用い、図1に示すような構造の選択透過膜型反応器を作製した。この選択透過膜型反応器に、原料ガスとしてメタンと二酸化炭素と水蒸気とを、モル比でCO2/CH4=1.0、H2O/CO2=0.05の割合で供給し、メタンの二酸化炭素による改質反応と、それに付随して生ずる反応を行わせ、反応生成物から水素を分離した。反応温度は550℃に調整し、反応側圧力は1atm(101.3kPa)、透過側圧力は0.1atm(10.1kPa)とした。また、原料ガスの流量はメタンの流量が100ml/分となるようにした。このようにして反応を行わせ、反応初期(反応開始から30分後)と反応開始から2日後のメタンの転化率を調べ、その結果を表1に示した。
メタンと二酸化炭素と水蒸気とを、モル比でCO2/CH4=1.0、H2O/CO2=0.1の割合で供給した以外は、前記実施例1と同様にして反応を行い、反応初期と反応開始から2日後のメタンの転化率を調べ、その結果を表1に示した。
メタンと二酸化炭素と水蒸気とを、モル比でCO2/CH4=1.0、H2O/CO2=0.3の割合で供給した以外は、前記実施例1と同様にして反応を行い、反応初期と反応開始から2日後のメタンの転化率を調べ、その結果を表1に示した。
水蒸気を供給せず、メタンと二酸化炭素とを、モル比でCO2/CH4=1.0の割合で供給した以外は、前記実施例1と同様にして反応を行い、反応初期と反応開始から2日後のメタンの転化率を調べ、その結果を表1に示した。
メタンと二酸化炭素と水蒸気とを、モル比でCO2/CH4=3.0、H2O/CO2=0.05の割合で供給した以外は、前記実施例1と同様にして反応を行い、反応初期と反応開始から2日後のメタンの転化率を調べ、その結果を表2に示した。
メタンと二酸化炭素と水蒸気とを、モル比でCO2/CH4=3.0、H2O/CO2=0.1の割合で供給した以外は、前記実施例1と同様にして反応を行い、反応初期と反応開始から2日後のメタンの転化率を調べ、その結果を表2に示した。

Claims (1)
- 化学反応を促進させるための触媒と、選択的透過能を有する選択透過膜とを備えた選択透過膜型反応器を使用し、前記触媒により炭化水素の二酸化炭素による改質反応を促進するとともに、当該反応により生成された反応生成物のうちの特定成分を、前記選択透過膜を透過させることにより選択的に分離するようにした選択透過膜型反応器による炭化水素の二酸化炭素改質方法であって、
原料ガスである炭化水素と二酸化炭素とに水蒸気を添加して前記選択透過膜型反応器に供するものであり、前記触媒が貴金属系の触媒であり、前記炭化水素がメタンであり、前記原料ガスにおける二酸化炭素とメタンとの組成比(CO2/CH4)がモル比で1.0〜3.0であり、水蒸気と二酸化炭素との組成比(H2O/CO2)がモル比で0.05〜0.3である、選択透過膜型反応器による炭化水素の二酸化炭素改質方法。
