Description
ポリエーテルエーテルケトン樹脂を主材料とし、カーボン繊維、四フッ化エチレン樹脂を充填材として配合した材料を用い、これを縦断面が略矩形、外径50mm、リング幅2.0mm、リング厚さ1.8mm、図3に示した複合ステップカット型の合い口16、16’を有するシールリングを、各合い口16、16’相互を広ろげた形態(図8参照)に射出成形し、次に、図9に示したように治具に装着して強制変形させ、その治具のまま電気炉に入れて200℃で2時間の熱固定を行った。
材料、縦断面形状、外径、リング幅、リング厚さ及び合い口の形態を実験例と同一とし、合い口を拡ろげ、かつ突起やポケットにクラウニング部のない角張ったものを射出成形により製作し、熱固定することなく、強制的に変形させて相手材に装着し、上記と同一の条件で耐久試験に供した。得られた結果を図10に示す。
図10に示すように、実施例のオイルシーリングは、リーク量が少なく、また、シリンダの摩擦量も著しく少ないことが確認された。
前記の合い口を有するシールリングは、通常の方法を用いることにより得ることができるが、より好ましい方法として次の方法があげられる。
次に、他の形状のこの発明の合い口を有するシールリングについて説明する。
この発明のシールリングは、耐熱性樹脂、強化繊維、フッ素系樹脂、充填剤からなる樹脂組成物を成形することにより得られる。

Claims (1)
- リング本体の周方向の一箇所に一定の間隔をおいて相互に対向する合い口を設けた合成樹脂製の複合ステップカット型シールリングの製造方法において、
前記の両方の合い口部分を離して、両者が重ならない形状で射出成形し、
次いで、前記射出成形で得られる成形品の合い口間の間隔を狭めて、これをリングゲージの内径面に挿入して、前記射出成形で得られる成形品の外径面を真円状に保持し、
そして、その成形品の内側に、前記リングゲージより熱膨張率の大きい物質から構成される円柱体を挿入し、
次に、これらを電気炉に入れ、前記成形品のベース樹脂のガラス転移点以上の温度になるように加熱して、この成形品の熱固定を行う、合成樹脂製の複合ステップカット型シールリングの製造方法。
