Abstract
Description
フィルムを乾燥させ、バリア特性を改善するために、高温で、ヤンキーシリンダー、金属ベルト乾燥装置またはコンデベルト(Condebelt)乾燥装置のような接触乾燥装置を用いて、フィルムの少なくとも1つの面、第1の面を接触乾燥に供することによってMFCフィルムを乾燥することが可能であることが、驚くべきことに見出された。接触乾燥装置の温度は、100℃超、好ましくは110〜190℃である。次いで、MFCフィルムの第1の面は接触乾燥装置と直接接触し、例えば、当該装置の乾燥シリンダーまたは乾燥ベルトと直接接触する。接触乾燥装置を高温で、すなわち水の沸点を超える温度で使用すると、フィルム中の水が沸騰し始めるであろうと予測され、MFCフィルムの高密度のために水がフィルム内部で沸騰し、フィルムのバリア特性を破壊する、すなわち沸騰水がMFCフィルムの内部から「逃れる」ことは可能でないと考えられた。フィルムの光沢のような光学特性もまた改善される。これは、接触乾燥装置でフィルムを乾燥させた後に視覚的に見ることができるであろう。
Claims (11)
- ミクロフィブリル化セルロースを含むフィルムの製造方法であって、
当該方法は、
ミクロフィブリル化セルロースを含む懸濁液を提供する工程であって、この懸濁液がフィルムの全乾燥重量に基づいて70重量%〜100重量%のミクロフィブリル化セルロースを含む工程、
基材上に懸濁液を適用して繊維ウェブを形成する工程であって、この繊維ウェブが第1の面および第2の面を有する工程、
この繊維ウェブを接触乾燥装置に導く工程であって、当該ウェブの第1の面が100℃超の温度でこの接触乾燥装置に直接に接触しており、それによって当該ウェブが少なくとも部分的に乾燥されてフィルムを形成する工程を含む、上記方法。 - 使用される接触乾燥装置が、ヤンキー乾燥シリンダー、金属ベルト乾燥装置またはコンデベルト乾燥装置である、請求項1に記載の方法。

- 請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の方法によって得られたミクロフィブリル化セルロースを含むフィルム。
- フィルムが40gsm未満、好ましくは30gsm未満の坪量を有する、請求項8に記載のフィルム。
- フィルムの密度が700kg/cm3超である、請求項8または9に記載のフィルム。
- フィルムが、ASTM D−3985による100cc/m2・日・気圧を下回る酸素透過率(OTR)値(23℃、50%RH)を有する、請求項8〜10のいずれか1項に記載のフィルム。
