Claims (19)
- 燃料システムであって、
水素ガスを供給する水素源と;
液体燃料を収容する液体燃料タンクと;
前記水素ガスを受け取るように前記水素源と流体接続すると共に、前記液体燃料を受け取るように前記液体燃料タンクと流体接続し、前記液体燃料に前記水素ガスを溶解して水素添加燃料を生成する高圧混合室と;
前記水素添加燃料を受け取るように前記高圧混合室と流体接続し、機関内に前記水素添加燃料を噴射する燃料噴射装置と;
を備える、燃料システム。 - 前記高圧混合室は、前記水素添加燃料の前記燃料噴射装置への高圧流を提供する高圧燃料ポンプである、請求項1に記載の燃料システム。
- 前記高圧燃料ポンプは少なくとも部分的に前記液体燃料タンク内に位置する、請求項2に記載の燃料システム。
- 前記水素源と前記高圧燃料ポンプとの間に、これらに直列に冷却器を備える、請求項2に記載の燃料システム。
- 使われなかった水素添加燃料が、圧力調整器及び冷却器を順に通り、前記液体燃料タンクに入る、請求項4に記載の燃料システム。
- 請求項1に記載の燃料システムであって、
前記高圧混合室は、逆止弁及び圧力調整器を介して水素添加燃料入れに流体接続し、
前記水素添加燃料入れは、噴射燃料ポンプを介して前記燃料噴射装置に流体接続する、
燃料システム。 - 前記水素ガスは高圧コンプレッサーを通って前記高圧混合室へ供給される、請求項6に記載の燃料システム。
- 前記水素ガスは、前記水素源から、冷却器及び逆止弁を通って、前記高圧コンプレッサーへと流れる、請求項7に記載の燃料システム。
- 前記水素ガスはジェットを通じて前記高圧混合室に導入される、請求項8に記載の燃料システム。
- 前記高圧混合室が液体燃料で満杯の時に、前記水素ガスの流れが前記高圧混合室に入ることを可能にするように構成される第1の近接制御部を更に有する、請求項9に記載の燃料システム。
- 使われなかった戻り燃料は、戻り燃料冷却器及び戻り燃料逆止弁を介して、前記噴射燃料ポンプと戻り燃料入れとの間に直列に流体接続する、請求項6に記載の燃料システム。
- 前記液体燃料タンク及び前記戻り燃料入れは、第3の近接制御部を通じて前記高圧混合室に流体接続し、ここで前記第3の近接制御部は、前記液体燃料中に前記水素ガスが溶けることが続くのに十分な量の前記液体燃料が維持されるように、前記液体燃料及び前記戻り燃料の流れが前記高圧混合室へ入ることを可能にするように構成されると共に、前記高圧混合室からの逆流を防ぐように構成される、請求項11に記載の燃料システム。
- 前記水素添加燃料は水素ガスを含み、ここで前記水素ガスは、粒子状にされ、又は溶解され、個々の炭素分子とくっつき、前記燃料液中で炭素分子と水素分子との間の結合を作っている、請求項6に記載の燃料システム。
- 水素添加燃料で内燃機関を運転する方法であって、
水素ガスを供給することと;
液体燃料を供給することと;
高圧混合室で前記水素ガスと前記液体燃料とを高圧で混合し、水素添加燃料を作ることと;
内燃機関の燃料噴射装置に前記水素添加燃料を燃料噴射ポンプで押し出すことと;
使われなかった水素添加燃料を前記高圧混合室に戻すことと;
を含む、方法。 - 請求項14に記載の方法であって、
前記水素ガスは、第1の冷却器、第1の逆止弁、コンプレッサー、第1の近接制御部を順に通って前記高圧混合室に供給され、
前記液体燃料は、燃料ポンプ、第2の逆止弁、第2の近接制御部を順に通って前記高圧混合室に供給され、
前記水素添加燃料は、圧力制御部、第3の近接制御部、第1の容器を順に通って前記燃料噴射装置に供給され、
前記使われなかった水素添加燃料は、第2の近接制御部、第2の冷却器、第4の逆止弁、第2の容器、前記第2の近接制御部を順に通って前記高圧混合室に戻される、請求項14に記載の方法。 - 前記高圧混合室における圧力は、60から120PSIGである、請求項15に記載の方法。
- 前記高圧混合室における圧力は、80から110PSIGである、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記高圧混合室における圧力は90PSIGである、請求項17に記載の方法。
- 前記水素添加燃料は水素ガスを含み、ここで前記水素ガスは、粒子状にされ、又は溶解され、個々の炭素分子とくっつき、前記燃料液中で炭素分子と水素分子との間の結合を作っている、請求項17に記載の方法。
