Claims (3)
- 軸線方向に延びる軸孔を有する絶縁体と、前記絶縁体を内側に保持する筒状の主体金具と、前記主体金具の一端部に配置されると共に前記軸線方向に貫通する貫通孔が中央に形成される板状の部材とを備える点火プラグの製造方法であって、
前記絶縁体を前記主体金具の内側に組み付ける組付工程と、
前記絶縁体を組み付けた前記主体金具の一端部に前記板状の部材を配置する配置工程と、
前記板状の部材に治具を当接して前記板状の部材を前記主体金具に押し付けた状態で前記板状の部材を前記主体金具にレーザ溶接する溶接工程とを備え、
前記治具は、前記貫通孔の周囲の前記板状の部材に当接する環状の端面を備え、
前記溶接工程は、前記治具の前記端面を前記板状の部材に当接して前記板状の部材の前記貫通孔を覆った状態で溶接を行うことを特徴とする点火プラグの製造方法。 - 前記治具は、前記軸線方向において前記端面から所定の距離だけ離れた位置に前記環状の端面よりも外形が大きい張出部を備え、
前記溶接工程において、前記張出部は、前記板状の部材と所定の間隔をあけて対向することを特徴とする請求項1記載の点火プラグの製造方法。 - 前記治具は、前記環状の端面を備える筒部と、軸線に沿って前記筒部の前記端面の反対側に連接される基部とを備え、
前記端面の面積は、前記基部の前記軸線と直交する断面の面積に比べて小さいことを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の点火プラグの製造方法。
