Abstract
Description
本願は、2016年7月15日に提出された米国仮特許出願第62/363138号及び2017年6月25日に提出された米国特許出願第15/632371号の利益を主張する。これらの出願の開示内容は、引用することにより本明細書の一部をなす。
したがって、本開示は、酸素等のガスがホースを透過してホース内部のホットメルト接着剤に接触することを防止及び/又は低減させるように構成された、ホットメルト接着剤移送用多層ホース200を提供する。図2A及び図2Bに示すように、ホットメルト接着剤移送ホース200の酸素バリア層203は、内部チューブ102の内面に接触する別個の層とすることができ、内部チューブ102は、構造層104及び外被106によって更に覆われる。代替的には、図3A及び図3Bに示すように、酸素バリア層203は、内部チューブ102の外面又は構造層104の内面に接触する別個の層とすることができ、構造層104は、外被106によって更に覆われる。図4A及び図4Bに示すように、酸素バリア層203は、内部チューブ102の周方向外側にあり、かつ構造層104の外面又は外被106の内面に接触する別個の層とすることができる。図5A及び図5Bに示すように、酸素バリア層203は、内部チューブ102と構造層104と外被106とを包囲することもでき、外被106の外面に接触する別個の層として形成される。
本開示の別の態様によれば、空気及び他のガスが、ホースを透過してホース内部のホットメルト接着剤に接触するのを防止するように構成された、ホットメルト接着剤移送用多層ホース700が提供される。図13A及び図13Bに示すように、ホットメルト接着剤移送ホース700は、ホースの導管への酸素及び他のガスの侵入を防止し、それにより、溶融したホットメルト接着剤の変色及びそれに付随する劣化を排除するように構成された、内部チューブ702を含むバリア層を有する。さらに、ホースへの酸素の通過を防止することにより、ホットメルト接着剤の予想「ポットライフ」も維持される。
Claims (30)
- ホットメルト接着剤移送用多層ホースであって、
加熱した液体ホットメルト接着剤を移送する導管と、
酸素が前記導管を通過して前記ホットメルト接着剤に侵入することを防止するように構成された不透過性バリア層と、
流体圧力に耐えるように構成された少なくとも1つの構造層と、
前記ホットメルト接着剤を設定値に維持するヒーターであって、前記設定値を長時間に亘って約230℃(華氏約450度)以下に維持するように制御される電源に電気的に接続されるようになっているヒーターと、
を備える、ホース。 - 前記バリア層は、可撓性金属チューブである、請求項1に記載のホース。
- 可撓性金属チューブは、金属テープである、請求項2に記載のホース。
- 可撓性金属チューブは、アルミニウムを含む、請求項2に記載のホース。
- 前記可撓性金属チューブは、複数の継ぎ目のないコルゲート部を有する、請求項2に記載のホース。
- 前記可撓性金属チューブの内面に沿って配置されるライナーを更に備える、請求項2に記載のホース。
- 前記ライナーは、前記可撓性金属チューブを通る前記加熱した液体ホットメルト接着剤の流動を向上させるように構成された耐熱性ポリマー材料を含む、請求項6に記載のホース。
- 前記ライナーは、流体の流動を促進するとともに、前記加熱した液体ホットメルト接着剤と前記可撓性金属チューブとの材料不適合を防ぐ平滑な内面を有する、請求項6に記載のホース。
- 前記少なくとも1つの構造層は、編組ジャケットを含む、請求項1に記載のホース。
- 前記少なくとも1つの構造層は、重なり合う2つの編組ジャケットを含む、請求項9に記載のホース。
- 前記少なくとも1つの構造層の外面を覆う、多層構造の外被層を更に備える、請求項1に記載のホース。
- 前記外被層は、加熱テープ副層と、前記加熱テープ副層を覆う断熱副層と、前記断熱副層を覆う保護副層とを更に備える、請求項11に記載のホース。
- 前記ホースは、内部チューブを更に備え、前記バリア層は、前記内部チューブに施される金属性被膜である、請求項1に記載のホース。
- ホットメルト接着剤を溶融吐出する装置であって、
固体形態の前記ホットメルト接着剤を受け入れるチャンバーと、
前記チャンバーに接続されるとともに前記ホットメルト接着剤を受け取るように構成された、前記固体形態の前記ホットメルト接着剤を液化する加熱装置と、
前記加熱装置に流体接続される、請求項1に記載のホットメルト接着剤移送用多層ホースと、
を備える、装置。 - ホットメルト接着剤を基材上に吐出するディスペンサーと、
液体ホットメルト接着剤の供給源と前記ディスペンサーとに作動的に接続される、請求項1のホースと、
を備える、ホットメルトシステム。 - 前記液体ホットメルト接着剤の供給源は、メルターである、請求項15に記載のホットメルトシステム。
- ホットメルト接着剤移送用多層ホースであって、前記多層のうちの少なくとも1つが、溶融したホットメルト接着剤を移送する前記ホースの導管への酸素の侵入を防止又は最小限に抑える酸素バリア層である、ホース。
- 溶融状態の前記ホットメルト接着剤を移送する内部チューブであって、第1の内面及び第1の外面を有する内部チューブと、
前記内部チューブの前記第1の外面を覆う構造層であって、第2の内面及び第2の外面を有する構造層と、
前記構造層の前記第2の外面を覆う外被であって、第3の内面及び第3の外面を有する外被と、を更に備え、
前記酸素バリア層は、前記内部チューブの前記第1の内面若しくは前記第1の外面、前記構造層の前記第2の内面若しくは前記第2の外面、又は前記外被の前記第3の内面若しくは前記第3の外面に直接接触する、請求項17に記載のホース。 - 前記外被は、加熱テープ副層と、断熱副層と、保護副層とを更に備え、前記酸素バリア層は、前記断熱副層の外面、前記保護副層の内面又は前記保護副層の外面に直接接触する、請求項18に記載のホース。
- 前記酸素バリア層は、閉じ込められた任意のガスの加熱時の熱膨張に適応するように、一方向弁に流体接続される、請求項19に記載のホース。
- 前記酸素バリア層は、閉じ込められた任意のガスの加熱時の熱膨張に適応するように、拡張可能な構成を有する、請求項19に記載のホース。
- 前記酸素バリア層は、金属性材料、ポリマー材料及びそれらの組合せからなる群から選択される、請求項17に記載のホース。
- 前記酸素バリア層は、アルミニウムを含む金属性の層を含む、請求項17に記載のホース。
- 前記酸素バリア層は、押出ポリマー層、プラズマ重合ポリマー層及びそれらの組合せからなる群から選択されるポリマー層を含む、請求項17に記載のホース。
- 溶融状態の前記ホットメルト接着剤を移送する内部チューブと、
前記内部チューブを覆う構造層と、
前記構造層を覆う外被と、を更に備え、
前記内部チューブは、耐熱性ポリマー及び無機添加剤を含む複合材料を含み、前記無機添加剤は、前記内部チューブの酸素透過率を低下させる、請求項17に記載のホース。 - 前記無機添加剤は、クレイ、シリケート及びシリカ、柱状物質、金属塩、ナノプレートレット並びにそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項25に記載のホース。
- ホットメルト接着剤を溶融吐出する装置であって、
固体形態の前記ホットメルト接着剤を受け入れるチャンバーと、
前記チャンバーに接続されるとともに前記ホットメルト接着剤を受け取るように構成された、前記固体形態の前記ホットメルト接着剤を液化する加熱装置と、
前記加熱装置に流体接続される、請求項17に記載のホットメルト接着剤移送用多層ホースと、
を備える、装置。 - ホットメルト接着剤を吐出する方法であって、
ホットメルト接着剤を溶融することと、
前記溶融したホットメルト接着剤を、ホースを通してディスペンサーに移送することと、
前記ホース内の前記溶融したホットメルト接着剤を約230℃(華氏約450度)以下の設定値で加熱することと、
バリア層によって前記ホース内の前記接着剤中への酸素の移動を防止することと、
前記ホットメルト接着剤を基材上に吐出することと、
を含む、方法。 - 前記設定値は、約180℃(華氏約350度)以下である、請求項28に記載の方法。
- ホットメルト接着剤を移送する方法であって、
ホットメルト接着剤を、約230℃(華氏約450度)の設定値以下の温度で移送用多層ホース内の可撓性金属チューブを通して移送することを含み、
前記可撓性金属チューブは、前記ホットメルト接着剤中への酸素の侵入を防止するように構成された不透過性バリア層を形成する、方法。
