Abstract
【解決手段】エンジン11の燃料カット時に、燃料カット開始から所定のディレイ時間が経過するまでスロットルバルブ14を開弁状態に維持した後に閉弁するスロットルバルブ遅閉じ制御と、EGRバルブ26の開閉を繰り返すEGRバルブ開閉制御を実行することで、燃焼室や排気管19やEGR配管25に残留する燃焼ガスを速やかに且つ効率良く排出する。この後、スロットルバルブ14を閉弁したままEGRバルブ26を開弁すると共にエンジン11の排気行程後期から吸気行程前期までの区間においてバルブオーバーラップ期間を設けるように可変バルブタイミング機構22,23を制御するバルブオーバーラップ制御を実行することで、エンジン11のポンプ損失を効果的に低減する。

Description
まず、図1に基づいてエンジン制御システム全体の概略構成を説明する。
車両の動力源として内燃機関であるエンジン11が搭載されている。このエンジン11の吸気管12(吸気通路)には、吸入空気量を検出するエアフローメータ13が設けられ、このエアフローメータ13の下流側に、吸入空気量を調節するスロットルバルブ14が設けられている。このスロットルバルブ14は、モータ等のアクチュエータ(図示せず)によって開度が調整される。
図2及び図3に示す燃料カット時制御ルーチンは、ECU34の電源オン期間中(イグニッションスイッチのオン期間中)に所定周期で繰り返し実行され、特許請求の範囲でいう燃料カット時制御手段としての役割を果たす。

Claims (9)
- 車両の動力源として搭載された内燃機関(11)の燃料カット時に前記車両の運動エネルギを発電機(28)で電気エネルギに変換して回収するエネルギ回生を行う車両の制御装置において、
前記内燃機関(11)の吸入空気量を調節するスロットルバルブ(14)と、
前記内燃機関(11)の排気通路(19)からEGR通路(25)を通して吸気通路(12)に還流させるEGRガスの流量を調節するEGRバルブ(26)を有するEGR装置(24)と、
前記内燃機関(11)の吸気バルブと排気バルブのうちの少なくとも一方のバルブタイミングを変化させる可変バルブタイミング機構(22,23)と、
前記燃料カット時に前記スロットルバルブ(14)を閉方向に制御して前記EGRバルブ(26)を開方向に制御すると共に前記可変バルブタイミング機構(22,23)を前記内燃機関(11)のポンプ損失低減方向に制御する燃料カット時協調制御を実行する燃料カット時制御手段(34)と
を備えていることを特徴とする車両の制御装置。 - 前記燃料カット時制御手段(34)は、前記燃料カット時協調制御を実行する前に、前記燃料カット開始から所定のディレイ時間が経過するまで前記スロットルバルブ(14)を開弁状態に維持して前記ディレイ時間が経過したときに前記スロットルバルブ(14)を閉方向に制御するスロットルバルブ遅閉じ制御と、前記EGRバルブ(26)の開閉を繰り返すEGRバルブ開閉制御とを実行することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両の制御装置。
- 前記燃料カット時制御手段(34)は、前記燃料カット時協調制御の際に、前記内燃機関(11)の燃料噴射中よりも前記EGRガス流量が多くなるように前記EGRバルブ(26)を制御することを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の車両の制御装置。
- 前記EGR装置(24)は、前記内燃機関(11)の燃料噴射中にのみ使用するEGR装置よりも前記EGRガス流量を多くできるように前記EGR通路(25)と前記EGRバルブ(26)が大径化されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載の車両の制御装置。
- 前記燃料カット時制御手段(34)は、前記燃料カット時協調制御の際に、前記内燃機関(11)の排気行程後期から吸気行程前期までの区間において前記吸気バルブと前記排気バルブが両方とも開弁した状態となるバルブオーバーラップ期間を設けるように前記可変バルブタイミング機構(22,23)を制御することを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれかに記載の車両の制御装置。
- 前記吸気通路(12)内の負圧を利用してブレーキペダルの踏み込み力を増幅してブレーキの制動力を増大させる負圧式のブレーキブースタ(31)を備え、
前記燃料カット時制御手段(34)は、前記燃料カット時協調制御の際に、前記車両の運転状態に基づいて目標負圧を算出し、該目標負圧に基づいて前記EGRバルブ(26)の開度を制御することを特徴とする請求項1乃至5のいずれかに記載の車両の制御装置。 - 前記燃料カット時制御手段(34)は、前記スロットルバルブ遅閉じ制御の際に、前記内燃機関(11)の吸入空気量又はこれに相関する情報に基づいて前記ディレイ時間を算出することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の車両の制御装置。
- 前記内燃機関(11)の排出ガスの空燃比を検出する空燃比センサ(20)を備え、
前記燃料カット時制御手段(34)は、前記EGRバルブ開閉制御の際に、前記空燃比センサ(20)の出力に基づいて前記排出ガス中の酸素濃度を算出し、該酸素濃度が所定値を越えたときに前記EGRバルブ開閉制御を終了することを特徴とする請求項2又は7に記載の車両の制御装置。 - 前記燃料カット時制御手段(34)は、前記EGRバルブ開閉制御の際に、前記吸気通路(12)のうちの前記スロットルバルブ(14)から前記吸気バルブまでの容積と前記内燃機関(11)の燃焼室の容積と前記排気通路(19)のうちの前記排気バルブから前記EGR通路(25)との接続部までの容積との和と、前記EGR通路(25)の容積と、前記EGRバルブ(26)の開度とに基づいて前記EGRバルブ開閉制御の実行時間を設定することを特徴とする請求項2又は7に記載の車両の制御装置。
