Description
安定化ピリチオン亜鉛:
デヒドロ酢酸亜鉛及びピリチオン亜鉛を、充填剤入り(filled)及びクリアな市販の可撓性のポリ塩化ビニル(PVC)化合物と混合した。該混合物を、噛合い型モジュラー式同方向回転二軸スクリュー押出し機を用いて押出し、可撓性のPVC化合物を形成した。押し出し機は、それぞれの押し出しゾーンで、140℃、170℃、175℃、175℃、175℃、及び175℃の温度プロフィールを有した。押出し後、可撓性のPVC化合物を冷却した。一旦冷却が完了したら、可撓性のPVC化合物を185℃でプレスし、プラスチックシートを形成した。
非安定化ピリチオン亜鉛:

未処理コントロール:
クリアな及び充填剤入りの市販の可撓性のポリ塩化ビニル(PVC)化合物を、噛合い型モジュラー式同方向回転二軸スクリュー押出し機を用いて押出し、可撓性のPVC化合物を形成した。押し出し機は、それぞれの押出しゾーンで、140℃、170℃、175℃、175℃、175℃、及び175℃の温度プロフィールを有した。押出し後、可撓性のPVC化合物を冷却した。一旦冷却が完了したら、可撓性のPVC化合物を185℃でプレスし、プラスチックシートを形成した。
安定性評価
実施例1〜3のプラスチックシートを、7.62×15.24cm2(3″×6″)の長方形にカットし、QUV加速風化試験器の中に置いた。風化試験器は、ASTM標準試験D154に従って、8時間の紫外線A波(長波)暴露サイクル及び4時間の水凝結サイクルに設定した。1,000時間の暴露後、プラスチックシートを、発色現像(color development)について試験した。変色試験の結果を下記表1にまとめる。
真菌耐性試験
ASTM試験方法G21に従って、上記で列挙された、調製されたプラスチックのそれぞれから3つのサンプルを、ペトリ皿中の鉱物塩寒天上に置き、以下の真菌を播種した:アスペルギルスニガー ATCC 9642;オーレオバシジウムプルラン(Aureobasidium pullulans) ATCC 15233;カエトミウムグロボサム(Chaetomium globosum) ATCC 6205;ペニシリウムフニクロサム(Penicillium funiculosum) ATCC 11797;及びトリコデルマビレン(Trichoderma virens) ATCC 9645。「非安定化ピリチオン亜鉛」と呼ばれるサンプルは、2,500ppmのピリチオン亜鉛を含み、一方、安定化サンプルは、1,250ppmのピリチオン亜鉛及び1,250ppmのデヒドロ酢酸亜鉛を含む。サンプルを、28℃で4週間インキュベートした。試験生物の増殖について、毎週サンプルを評価した。結果を下記の表2に示す。
Claims (15)
- ピリチオン又はその塩を含む材料の変色を抑制する方法であって、該方法は、デヒドロ酢酸又はその塩を含む有効量の変色抑制剤を前記材料に加えることを含む方法。
- 前記材料は、ペンキ、コーティング、接着剤、及び繊維品から成る群から選択され;及び、前記材料は屋外の風化条件に曝される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記材料はパーソナルケア製品である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記パーソナルケア製品はシャンプーである、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記材料は屋外の風化条件に曝されたプラスチック材料である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記変色抑制剤はデヒドロ酢酸の亜鉛塩である、請求項1〜5の何れか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記プラスチック材料は押出し成形され、前記デヒドロ酢酸の亜鉛塩は、前記プラスチック材料と共有押出し成形される、請求項5及び6に記載の方法。
- 有機亜リン酸エステルが前記プラスチック材料に添加されない、請求項5〜7の何れか一項に記載の方法。
- 置換された亜リン酸フェニルが前記プラスチック材料に添加されない、請求項5〜7の何れか一項に記載の方法。
