Abstract
Description
本出願は、2008年6月27日に出願された米国仮特許出願第61/133,356号の出願日の利益を主張する。
本開示は、製造、保存、輸送または使用の間の、基材表面を保護するのに用いるフィルムに関する。本開示は、また、上記フィルムを作製する方法に関する。
1つの実施形態では、マスキングフィルムは、少なくとも1つの三次元剥離面を有する高分子フィルムウェブを含む。
表1の組成を有する一連のフィルムを調製した。
1つの滑らかな接着面および対向する剥離面を有する一連の単層ポリエチレンフィルムを作製した。滑らかなチルロール上に前の実施例で用いた低密度ポリエチレン/スリップ剤のブレンドをキャスティングすることによってフィルムを作製した。図8に見られるように、テクスチャード加工または彫刻エンボスロールでフィルムの反対側に圧力を加えた。テクスチャード加工エンボスロールはゴムから作製され、1.397ミクロン(55マイクロインチ)の粗さを有する表面テクスチャを有していた。彫刻エンボスロールもゴムから作製され、ダイヤモンド形状パターンで一連の深い彫刻溝を有していた。次いで、フィルムの各表面を、180°剥離試験で特別の開発接着強度試験方法を使用して接着についてテストした。結果を表3に記載する。
各側に剥離面を有する一連のポリエチレンフィルムを作製した。彫刻チルロール上に前の実施例で用いた低密度ポリエチレン/スリップ剤のブレンドをキャスティングすることによってフィルムを作製した。チルロールは、ダイヤモンドパターンの形状で一連の深い彫刻溝を含む彫刻面を有していた。図8に見られるように、テクスチャード加工エンボスロールでフィルムの反対側に圧力を加えた。テクスチャード加工エンボスロールはゴムから作製され、1.397ミクロン(55マイクロインチ)の粗さを有する表面テクスチャを有していた。次いで、フィルムの各表面を接着についてテストした。結果を表4に記載する。表4に見られるように、本実施形態では、フィルムは基材に接着しなかった。
表5に記載した組成を有する一連の3層同時押出し成形フィルムを調製した(層2はコア層であり、層1および3は外側すなわち「表皮」層である)。フィルムは、成形スクリーン上に成型し、成形スクリーンは、周囲に巻き付けられ、真空を施して図4Aに表したフィルム材料を形成する薄いワイヤーを有する。フィルムの様々な物理的特性についてテストした。結果を表6に記載する。

Claims (20)
- 接着層と、剥離層とを含み、該剥離層は複数の三次元突起部を有する剥離面を含む、フィルム。
- 前記三次元突起部は前記剥離層の一体的な延出部分である、請求項1記載のフィルム。
- 前記突起部は真空形成された突起部である、請求項2記載のフィルム。
- 前記突起部は油圧成形された突起部である、請求項2記載のフィルム。
- 前記突起部は機械的に変形された突起部である、請求項2記載のフィルム。
- 前記突起部は深エンボス突起部である、請求項5記載のフィルム。
- 前記突起部は前記フィルムの長さに実質的に延在する隆線を含む、請求項2記載のフィルム。
- 前記剥離層と前記接着層との間に配置された少なくとも1つの中間層をさらに含む、請求項1記載のフィルム。
- 前記三次元突起部は不連続の高分子ビーズを含む、請求項1記載のフィルム。
- 第1の剥離面と、第2の剥離面とを含み、該第1の剥離面および第2の剥離面のうちの少なくとも1つは複数の三次元突起部を有する、フィルム。
- 前記三次元突起部は前記剥離層の一体的な延出部分である、請求項10記載のフィルム。
- 前記突起部は、真空形成された突起部、油圧成形された突起部、および機械的に変形された突起部から選択される、請求項11記載のフィルム。
- 前記突起部は前記フィルムの長さに実質的に延在する隆線を含む、請求項11記載のフィルム。
- 多層フィルムを含む、請求項10記載のフィルム。
- 前記三次元突起部は不連続の高分子ビーズを含む、請求項10記載のフィルム。
- 前記第1の剥離面は三次元突起部を含み、前記第2の剥離面は艶消し面を含む、請求項10記載のフィルム。
- 前記第1の剥離面および第2の剥離面の両方は三次元突起部を含む、請求項10記載のフィルム。
- 基材表面を保護する方法であって、
該基材表面と密接に接触してフィルムを設置することを含み、
該フィルムは、剥離面を有する少なくとも1つの剥離層を含み、
該剥離面は複数の三次元突起部を有する、方法。 - 前記フィルムは、重ねられた基材において2つの隣接する基材表面間に位置する、請求項18記載の方法。
- 前記フィルムは、
a)接着層および剥離層を有するフィルム、
b)接着層、剥離層および該剥離層と該接着層との間に介在する少なくとも1つのコア層を有するフィルム、
c)剥離層および剥離面に対向する艶消し面を有するフィルム、
d)第2の剥離層を有し、該第2の剥離層は複数の三次元突起部を有するフィルム、から選択される、請求項18記載の方法。
