Abstract
【解決手段】一態様において、この固化石膏含有組成物には、少なくとも焼石膏、水、及び向上剤が含まれる。向上剤を、(i)有機ポリホスホニック化合物若しくはその混合物;(ii)ウレキサイト、コレマナイトから選択されるホウ酸塩、若しくはこれらの混合物;(i)及び(ii)の混合物から選択することができる。別の態様において、固化石膏含有組成物は、(i)有機ホスホニック化合物若しくはその混合物;(ii)ウレキサイト、コレマナイトから選択されるホウ酸塩、若しくはこれらの混合物;(iii)カルボキシル化合物若しくはその混合物;あるいは(i)、(ii)及び/又は(iii)の混合物から選択することができる向上剤で処理される。

Description
CH3(CH2)XCH2(OCH2CH2)YOSO3 −M+
の起泡剤から形成される。具体的には、Mはカチオン、Xは2から約20の整数、Yは0から約10の整数であって、少なくとも1種の起泡剤の少なくとも約50重量%で0である。好ましくは、Yは、少なくとも1種の起泡剤の約86から約99重量%で0である。
OPPC 有機ポリホスホニック化合物を表す;
OPPC1 アミノトリ(メチレン−ホスホン酸)である;
OPPC2 アミノトリ(メチレン−ホスホン酸)五ナトリウム塩である;

PAA3 分子量が約250,000ダルトンのポリ(アクリル酸)である;
PAA4 分子量が約450,000ダルトンのポリ(アクリル酸)である;

PAA6 Belclene 283(FMC Corporation、Princeton、 New Jerseyが市販)である;
PAA7 Belclene 200(FMC Corporationが市販)である;また
PAA8 Belsperse 161(FMC Corporationが市販)である;
永久変形に対する抵抗性(実験室石膏ボード垂れ抵抗性)
石膏含有ボードの試料を本発明に従って実験室で調製し、永久変形に対する抵抗性に関して、本発明の範囲外の方法及び組成物を用いて調製された試験ボードと比較した。
この実施例では、石膏ボードの垂れ抵抗性を改善するため、ウレキサイトを向上剤として使用することを例示する。ウレキサイトを、それ自体としてまた前記のように硫酸カルシウム二水和物の微粉砕粒子を含む固化促進剤とミル加工された添加剤として用い、永久変形に対する抵抗性を実施例Iに記載のようにして求めた。
硫酸カルシウム二水和物の固化後の処理
本発明のいくつかの別の好ましい実施形態において、硫酸カルシウム二水和物キャストは、再乾燥後の固化石膏含有製品の永久変形(例えば、垂れ抵抗性)に対する抵抗性、及び寸法安定性を向上するために、向上剤の水溶液で処理される。より詳細には、硫酸カルシウム二水和物キャストを、本発明による様々な向上剤で処理することにより、永久変形(例えば、垂れ抵抗性)に対する抵抗性及び寸法安定性が向上するということが知見された。このように、固化石膏に向上剤が付加されるこの実施形態は、限定はされないが、ボード、パネル、プラスタ、タイル、石膏/セルロース繊維複合体などを含む改良された石膏含有組成物を製造するための新しい組成物及び方法を提供する。したがって、垂れ抵抗性の厳重な制御が必要な何らかの石膏系製品は本発明のこの実施形態から利益を得るであろう。

Claims (21)
- 少なくとも焼石膏から生成される固化石膏のインターロッキングマトリックスと、水と、そして、向上剤とを含む固化石膏含有組成物であって、前記向上剤が、
有機ポリホスホニック化合物、若しくは、複数の有機ポリホスホニック化合物の混合物;又は
(i)有機ポリホスホニック化合物、若しくは、複数の有機ポリホスホニック化合物の混合物と、(ii)ウレキサイト、コレマナイト、若しくは、ウレキサイト及びコレマナイトの混合物を含むホウ酸塩との混合物
を含む固化石膏含有組成物。 - ポリカルボキシル化合物若しくは複数のポリカルボキシル化合物の混合物を含む第2の向上剤を更に含み、又は、ポリホスフェート化合物又は複数のポリホスフェート化合物の混合物を含む第3の向上剤を更に含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 促進剤を更に含み、そして、ホウ酸塩の少なくとも一部が促進剤に坦持される、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記固化石膏が、前記焼石膏の重量に対して0.01重量%から5重量%の向上剤から生成される、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記ポリカルボキシル化合物の分子量が、100,000ダルトンから100万ダルトンであり、前記ポリカルボキシル化合物が、ポリアクリレート、ポリエタクリレート、及びポリメタクリレートからなる群から選択される、請求項2に記載の組成物。
- 前記ポリホスフェート化合物が、トリメタホスフェート化合物、6〜27個の繰返しホスフェート単位を有するヘキサメタリン酸ナトリウム、ポリリン酸アンモニウム、ピロリン酸四カリウム、トリポリリン酸ナトリウム、ピロリン酸四ナトリウム、酸性ピロリン酸ナトリウム、及び2個以上の繰返しリン酸単位を有するポリリン酸からなる群から選択される、請求項2に記載の組成物。
- 少なくとも焼石膏から生成される固化石膏のインターロッキングマトリックスと、
水と、そして、
(i)ポリカルボキシル化合物、若しくは、複数のポリカルボキシル化合物の混合物;及び
(ii)ポリホスフェート化合物、若しくは、複数のポリホスフェート化合物の混合物を含む向上剤と
を含む固化石膏含有組成物。 - 固化石膏を含む、固化石膏含有組成物であって、前記固化石膏が、
液体と
(i)有機ホスホニック化合物、若しくは、複数の有機ホスホニック化合物の混合物;
(ii)ウレキサイト、コレマナイト、若しくは、ウレキサイト及びコレマナイトの混合物を含むホウ酸塩;若しくは
(iii)カルボキシル化合物、若しくは、複数のカルボキシル化合物の混合物;
又は(i)、(ii)、及び/又は(iii)の混合物
を含む向上剤と
の混合物で処理される固化石膏含有組成物。 - 前記組成物が、ホスフェート化合物、若しくは、複数のホスフェート化合物の混合物、好ましくはポリホスフェート化合物を含む第2の向上剤でさらに処理される、請求項8に記載の固化石膏含有組成物。
- 前記有機ホスホニック化合物が、アミノトリ(メチレン−ホスホン酸)、アミノトリ(メチレン−ホスホン酸)五ナトリウム塩、1−ヒドロキシエチリデン−1,1−ジホスホン酸、1−ヒドロキシエチリデン−1,1−ジホスホン酸四ナトリウム塩、ジエチレントリアミンペンタ(メチレンホスホン酸)五ナトリウム塩、ジエチレントリアミンペンタ(メチレンホスホン酸)三ナトリウム塩、ヘキサメチレンジアミンテトラ(メチレンホスホン酸)、又は、ヘキサメチレンジアミンテトラ(メチレンホスホン酸)カリウム塩である、請求項7又は8に記載の組成物。
- 前記ポリカルボキシル化合物の分子量が、200ダルトンから100万ダルトンである、請求項8に記載の組成物。
- 前記カルボキシル化合物がポリアクリレート、ポリエタクリレート、ポリメタクリレート、及びシトレートからなる群から選択される、請求項8に記載の組成物。
- 前記ポリカルボキシル化合物がポリアクリレートである、請求項1又は11に記載の組成物。
- 請求項1又は8に記載した組成物を含む石膏ボードであって、前記石膏ボードの垂れ抵抗性が、ASTM C473−95により規定された、60.8cm(2フィート)の長さの前記ボードあたり0.25cm(0.1インチ)より小さいか、又は、前記石膏ボードの収縮率が幅121.6cm(4フィート)あたり0.05cm(0.02インチ)より小さく、そして、長さ364.8cm(12フィート)あたり0.13cm(0.05インチ)より小さいことを特徴とする石膏ボード。
- ホウ酸塩及び促進剤材料を含む水性焼石膏組成物のための促進剤。
- 前記促進剤材料が硫酸カルシウム二水和物である、請求項15に記載の促進剤。
- 前記ホウ酸塩及び前記促進剤材料がミル加工された混合物として提供され、そして、ミル加工された前記混合物のメジアン粒子径が5μm未満であり、そして、ミル加工された前記混合物の表面積が好ましくは少なくとも7,000cm2/グラムである、請求項15に記載の促進剤。
- 少なくとも焼石膏から生成される固化石膏のインターロッキングマトリックスと、水と、そして、向上剤とを含む固化石膏含有組成物であって、前記向上剤が、
(i)ポリカルボキシル化合物若しくは複数のポリカルボキシル化合物の混合物と、(ii)ポリホスフェート化合物又は複数のポリホスフェート化合物の混合物と
を含む固化石膏含有組成物。 - 前記ポリカルボキシル化合物の分子量が、100,000ダルトンから100万ダルトンである、請求項18に記載の組成物。
- 前記ポリカルボキシル化合物の分子量が、400,000ダルトンから600,000ダルトンである、請求項18に記載の組成物。
- 前記カルボキシル化合物がポリアクリレート、ポリエタクリレート、及びポリメタクリレートからなる群から選択される、請求項18に記載の組成物。
