Abstract
【解決手段】エミッタは、液体消火剤及び気体消火剤の供給源に連通して気体流を作り、液体を霧化すると共に気体流に混入して得られた液体気体流を火災に放出する。第1及び第2衝撃波面を有する気体流を、エミッタを使用して形成し、液体気体流を形成するために、一方の衝撃波面にて液体を霧化すると共に気体流に混入し、液体気体流を火災に放出する。また、エミッタから放出された液体気体流に、複数の衝撃波ダイアモンド形が形成される。

Description
その結果、これらの水粒子は、約8インチ(20.3センチメートル)から16インチ(40.7センチメートル)のスプリンクラヘッド内で、大きく減速させられ、また、火災によって生じさせられる燃焼気体の上昇渦を抑えることができない。それ故、水粒子は、効果的な火災鎮圧のために、火元に達し得ない。また、霧化によって生じさせられる水粒子寸法は、周囲温度が55度未満であるならば、鎮火のために酸素含有量を低下させるのに効果的ではない。更に、周知の共鳴管は、高圧で送達される相対的に大きい気体質量を必要とする。これにより、かなりの音響エネルギを生じさせると共に、この音響エネルギが横断するデフレクタ面から隔離する不安定な気体流を生じさせて、不十分な水の霧化に至る。

(d)デフレクタ面に近接して第2衝撃波面を設ける工程と、
(e)液体気体流を形成するために、液体消火剤を気体消火剤に混入する工程と、
(f)液体気体流をエミッタから発射させる工程とを含む。
液体消火剤は、一方の衝撃波面に近接して、気体消火剤に混入されてよい。

Claims (11)
- 液体消火剤を霧化すると共に気体消火剤に混入し、且つ該気体及び液体消火剤を火に放出する少なくとも1個のエミッタを備える火災鎮火システムであって、
前記エミッタは、
前記気体消火剤の供給源に連通し、気体消火剤を導入する導入口及び気体消火剤を排出するように直径が設定された排出口を有するノズルと、
前記液体消火剤の供給源に連通し、且つ前記ノズルの排出口の縁から径方向外方において同排出口に隣接し、ノズルの排出口から気体消火剤が排出されるのと同時に液体消火剤を排出するオリフィスを備えたダクトと、
前記ノズルの排出口から排出される気体消火剤の流れる方向に対して直交するように配向され、且つ排出口と等しい直径を有する平面部と、同平面部を包囲するように平面部に隣接し、平面部に対して後退する角度をなすように配向される傾斜面部とからなり、前記ノズルの排出口から離間して、同排出口に対向配置されるディフレクター面とを有し、
前記気体消火剤はノズルの排出口から超音速にて放出されて平面部に衝突し速度が亜音速になり、これにより気体消火剤は排出口と平面部との間に第1の衝撃波面を、ついでディフレルター面に沿って第2の衝撃波面を発生させ、オリフィスから排出された液体消火剤は第2の衝撃波面近傍において気体消火剤と混合されて液体気体流となり火に放出されることを特徴とする火炎鎮火システム。 - 前記気体消火剤を前記エミッタに導く気体導管と、
前記液体消火剤を前記エミッタに導く配管網と、
前記気体消火剤の前記エミッタへの圧力及び流速を制御する前記気体導管の第1弁と、
前記液体消火剤の前記エミッタへの圧力及び流速を制御する前記配管網の第2弁と、
前記気体導管内の圧力を測定する圧力変換器と、
前記エミッタに近接して位置決めされる火災検知器と、
前記第1及び第2弁、前記圧力変換器及び前記火災検知器と通信する制御システムとを含み、該制御システムは、前記圧力変換器及び火災検知器から信号を受信すると共に、該火災検知器からの火災を指示する信号に応じて、前記弁を開放し、該制御システムは、前記エミッタを作動するために、前記気体導管内における前記気体消火剤の所定圧力を維持するように、前記第1弁を駆動する
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシステム。 - 圧縮気体消火剤源を含む複数の圧縮気体タンクと、
前記気体タンク及び前記第1弁の上流の前記気体導管の間に流体連通をもたらす高圧マニホルドとを更に含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載のシステム。 - 複数の火災危険域に配置される複数の前記エミッタと、
全ての前記火災危険域の全ての前記エミッタへの圧縮気体消火剤源を含む単一の圧縮気体タンクとを更に含むことを特徴とする請求項2又は3に記載のシステム。 - 前記エミッタ及び前記第2弁の間の前記配管網に位置決めされる流量制御機器を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項2乃至4のいずれか1項に記載のシステム。
- 前記流量制御機器は、流量カートリッジを含むことを特徴とする請求項5に記載のシステム。
- 複数の火災危険域に配置される複数の前記エミッタと、
前記エミッタの各1個及び前記第2弁の間の前記配管網に位置決めされる複数の流量制御機器とを更に含むことを特徴とする請求項2乃至6のいずれか1項に記載のシステム。 - 前記流量制御機器は各々、流量カートリッジを含むことを特徴とする請求項7に記載のシステム。
- 前記気体消火剤は、前記気体ダクトにおいて、約29psia(200KPaA)から約60psia(410KPaA)の間の圧力を有することを特徴とする請求項2乃至8のいずれか1項に記載のシステム。
- 前記液体消火剤は、前記配管網において、約1psig(7KPaG)から約50psig(350KPaG)の間の圧力を有することを特徴とする請求項2乃至9のいずれか1項に記載のシステム。
- 前記デフレクタ面は、衝撃波ダイアモンド形が、前記液体気体流に生じるように位置することを特徴とする請求項1乃至10のいずれか1項に記載のシステム。
