本発明の酸化タングステン剤には、一般式WyOz(式中、Wはタングステンであり、Oは酸素であり、2.0<z/y<3.0、2.2≦z/y≦2.99、または2.45≦z/y≦2.99を満たす)で表されるもの、および/または一般式MxWyOz(式中、Mは、H、He、アルカリ金属、アルカリ土類金属、希土類金属、Mg、Zr、Cr、Mn、Fe、Ru、Co、Rh、Ir、Ni、Pd、Pt、Cu、Ag、Au、Zn、Cd、Al、Ga、In、Tl、Si、Ge、Sn、Pb、Sb、B、F、P、S、Se、Br、Te、Ti、Nb、V、Mo、Ta、Reから選択される元素であり、Wはタングステンであり、Oは酸素であり、0.001≦x/y≦1.0または0.01≦x/y≦0.5、および2.0<z/y≦3.0、2.2≦z/y≦2.99、または2.45≦z/y≦2.99を満たす)で表される複合酸化タングステンの粒子が含まれる。タングステン/酸素比の例には、限定されないが、WO2.92、WO2.90、W20O58、W24O68、W17O47、W18O49などが挙げられる。好ましい実施形態では、酸化タングステン剤は、上記の特性のいずれかを有する酸化セシウムタングステン(CsWO3)であり、様々な実施形態では、モル比Cs0.33WO3を有する酸化セシウムタングステンが使用される。
本明細書で用いるところでは、「ポリマーフィルム」は、性能向上層として機能する比較的薄い、剛性ポリマー層を意味する。ポリマーフィルムは、ポリマーフィルムそれ自体が必要な貫入抵抗およびガラス保持特性を多層窓ガラス構造に提供せずに、むしろ、赤外吸収特性などの、性能向上を提供するという点において、本明細書で使用されるような、ポリマー層とは異なる。ポリ(エチレンテレフタレート)がポリマーフィルムとして最も普通に使用される。
以下の章は、本明細書で他の場所に記載される酸化タングステン剤を含む本発明のポリマー層を形成するために使用することができる、ポリ(ビニルブチラール)などの、様々な材料を記載する。
0.76ミリメートル(30ミル)の厚さ、38phrのトリエチレングリコールビス(2−エチルヘキサノエート)可塑剤と、表1に示される量のCsWO3、Tinuvin 328(登録商標)、Tinuvin 622(登録商標)(ヒンダードアミン光安定剤)、およびビス(2−エチル酪酸)マグネシウムとを有する、7つのポリマー層を調製し、透明なガラスの2枚のシート間に積層する。
0.76ミリメートル(30ミル)の厚さ、38phrのトリエチレングリコールビス(2−エチルヘキサノエート)可塑剤、0.05重量パーセントのCsWO3、0.046重量パーセントのビス(2−エチル酪酸)マグネシウム、および表2に示されるような様々な量のTinuvin 326(登録商標)を有するポリマー層を形成し、透明なガラスの2枚のシート間に積層する。デルタTvは、実施例1におけるように測定する。
Claims (20)
- ポリマー層を含む、多層窓ガラスでの使用のための中間層であって、前記ポリマー層が酸化タングステン剤と、ベンゾトリアゾール基を有する分子、多価金属塩のどちらか、またはベンゾトリアゾール基を有する分子および多価金属塩の両方とを含む中間層。
- 前記ポリマー層が0.01〜1.0重量パーセントの前記酸化タングステン剤を含む、請求項1に記載の中間層。
- 前記酸化タングステン剤が、一般式WyOz(式中、Wはタングステンであり、Oは酸素であり、2.0<z/y<3.0を満たす)で表され、一般式MxWyOz(式中、Mは、H、He、アルカリ金属、アルカリ土類金属、希土類金属、Mg、Zr、Cr、Mn、Fe、Ru、Co、Rh、Ir、Ni、Pd、Pt、Cu、Ag、Au、Zn、Cd、Al、Ga、In、Tl、Si、Ge、Sn、Pb、Sb、B、F、P、S、Se、Br、Te、Ti、Nb、V、Mo、Ta、Reから選択される元素であり、Wはタングステンであり、Oは酸素であり、0.001≦x/y≦1.0および2.0<z/y≦3.0を満たす)で表されるものである、請求項1に記載の中間層。

- 前記酸化タングステンが近赤外線の70%〜95%をブロックするのに十分な量で存在する、請求項11に記載のパネル。
- 前記ポリマー層がベンゾトリアゾール基を有する分子を含む、請求項11に記載のパネル。
- 前記多価金属塩がビス(2−エチル酪酸)マグネシウムを含む、請求項11に記載のパネル。
- 前記ポリマー層がベンゾトリアゾール基を有する分子およびビス(2−エチル酪酸)マグネシウムの両方を含む、請求項11に記載のパネル。
- 前記ポリマー層がポリ(ビニルブチラール)を含む、請求項11に記載のパネル。
