Abstract

Claims (10)
- 円筒状の内側部材と円筒状の外側部材の間の出入制限区域内の周囲溶接部をブラッシングするための工具アセンブリであって、
前記内側部材の外径より大きく且つ前記外側部材の内径より小さい寸法の円周方向プレート(12)と、
前記円周方向プレートと結合された少なくとも1つの更新ブラシ(14)と、
前記更新ブラシに結合され、前記更新ブラシを回転させるモータと、
前記内側部材と前記外側部材の間に搭載され、前記円周方向プレートに係合する駆動アセンブリ(18)であって、前記円周方向プレートを前記出入制限区域内で円周方向に駆動する駆動アセンブリ(18)とを備える工具アセンブリ。 - 前記円周方向プレート(12)は、前記内側部材または前記外側部材の一方と係合可能なローラ(30)を備える請求項1記載の工具アセンブリ。
- 前記円周方向プレート(12)は円周方向ラック(20)を備え、前記駆動アセンブリ(18)は前記円周方向ラックと係合可能なピニオン(22)を備える請求項1記載の工具アセンブリ。
- 前記駆動アセンブリ(18)は、前記ピニオン(22)に結合され、該ピニオンを駆動するモータ(24)を更に備える請求項3記載の工具アセンブリ。
- 前記駆動アセンブリモータ(24)は駆動ベルト(26)に結合され、前記駆動ベルトは駆動歯車に連結され、該駆動歯車は前記ピニオンに連結されて運動力を前記モータから前記ピニオンに伝達する請求項4記載の工具アセンブリ。
- 前記駆動ベルトはチェーン(26)である請求項5記載の工具アセンブリ。
- 前記駆動アセンブリ(18)は、前記内側部材と前記外側部材の間の前記出入制限区域周りに配置された複数のピニオン(22)を備える請求項3記載の工具アセンブリ。
- 前記円周方向プレート(12)は前記内側部材を囲繞する寸法とされ、前記駆動アセンブリ(18)は前記外側部材と前記ピニオン(22)の間に配置されたプッシュシリンダ(28)を備える請求項3記載の工具アセンブリ。
- 前記駆動アセンブリ(18)は、前記内側部材の周囲に離隔された複数の駆動ユニットを備える請求項1記載の工具アセンブリ。
- 引張表面応力による、溶接部の亀裂の初発もしくは成長の発生度を緩和するために円筒状の金属構造を表面コンディショニングする方法であって、
前記円筒状金属構造の外径または前記円筒状金属構造の内径の一方に隣接適合する寸法とされた円周方向プレート(12)を設けるステップと、
少なくとも1つの更新ブラシ(14)を前記円周方向プレートと結合させるステップと、
前記更新ブラシを回転させ、同時に前記円周方向プレートを円周方向に駆動するステップとを包含する方法。
