Abstract
【解決手段】表示パネル20は、マトリクス状に配置した画素を有し、この画素に画素データを書き込み表示が行われる。画面中の1画素のみを1フレームの中の限定された複数ライン期間だけ点灯することで、1フレームにおいて複数の画素を順次点灯する。そして、1画素のみが点灯している期間における表示に用いられる電流を測定することで当該画素に流れる画素電流を測定する。

また、この例では、各フレームにおいて特定の列を点灯させているが、設定された水平ライン毎であれば、点灯する画素の位置は任意でよい。
Claims (7)
- マトリクス状に配置した画素毎に画素データを書き込み、表示を行う表示装置において、
画面中の1画素のみを点灯し、その画素電流を測定した後に消灯すること、を1フレーム中に複数回行い、1フレーム期間に複数の画素の画素電流を測定することを特徴とする表示装置の画素電流測定方法。 - 請求項1に記載の表示装置の画素電流測定方法において、
表示装置は、データを書き込んだ後、設定されたライン期間後に消灯する機能を有し、この機能を利用して1画素のみを1または複数ライン期間だけ点灯することを特徴とする表示装置の画素電流測定方法。 - 請求項1または2に記載の表示装置の画素電流測定方法において、
前記表示装置は、有機EL素子を各画素に設けた有機EL表示装置であることを特徴とする表示装置の画素電流測定方法。 - マトリクス状に配置した画素毎に画素データを書き込み、表示を行う表示装置において、
画面中の1画素のみを点灯する点灯手段と、
表示装置に流れる電流を測定する電流測定手段と、
その画素電流を測定した後に消灯する消灯手段と、
を有し、
前記点灯手段によって1画素のみが点灯している期間における表示に用いられる電流を前記電流測定手段で測定することで1フレーム期間に複数の画素の画素電流を測定することを特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項4に記載の表示装置において、
データを書き込んだ後、設定されたライン期間後に消灯する機能を有し、
この消灯手段を利用して1画素のみを1または複数ライン期間だけ点灯することを特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項4または5に記載の表示装置において、
各画素には、有機EL素子が設けられていることを特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項4〜6のいずれか1つに記載の表示装置において、
各画素に供給する画素データを補正する補正データを記憶する補正データメモリを有し、この補正データを前記測定した画素電流によって書き直すことを特徴とする表示装置。
