Abstract
【解決手段】車両の車体に取り付けられ、車両前方の障害物を検知するミリ波レーダ5と、該ミリ波レーダ5による障害物の検知結果に応じてブレーキ装置8やシートベルトプリテンショナ90を制御する作動制御部48とを備えた障害物検知装置Aにおいて、ミリ波レーダ5によって所定時間内に障害物が検知された検知回数が第1判定回数以上となったことを判定する検知回数判定部43と、この検知回数判定部43によって検知回数が第1判定回数以上となったと判定された超過回数が第2判定回数以上となることを判定する超過回数判定部45と、この超過回数判定部45段によって超過回数が第2判定回数以上になったと判定されたときにミリ波レーダ5のレーダ軸がずれていることを乗員に報知する表示部13及び警報ブザー15とをさらに備える。

Description
本発明は、上記実施形態1について、以下のような構成としてもよい。すなわち、上記実施形態では、障害物の検知結果に基づいて作動制御部48に制御される作動機器としてブレーキ装置8とシートベルトプリテンショナ90とを採用しているが、これに限られるものではない。例えば、何れか一方であってもよい。

Claims (8)
- 車両の車体に取り付けられ、車両前方の障害物を検知する障害物検知手段と、該障害物検知手段による障害物の検知結果に応じて車両の作動機器を制御する作動制御手段とを備えた障害物検知装置において、
上記障害物検知手段によって所定時間内に障害物が検知された検知回数が所定の第1判定回数以上となったことを判定する検知回数判定手段と、
上記検知回数判定手段によって上記検知回数が上記第1判定回数以上となったと判定された超過回数が所定の第2判定回数以上となることを判定する超過回数判定手段と、
上記超過回数判定手段によって上記超過回数が上記第2判定回数以上になったと判定されたときに、上記障害物検知手段が異常であることを乗員に報知する報知手段とをさらに備えることを特徴とする障害物検知装置。 - 請求項1に記載の障害物検知装置において、
上記障害物検知手段は、レーダ軸が所定の方向を向くように車体に取り付けられたレーダであり、
該障害物検知手段の異常は、該レーダのレーダ軸の軸ずれであることを特徴とする障害物検知装置。 - 請求項2に記載の障害物検知装置において、
自車両が走行する道路が高速道路か一般道路かを判定する走行道路判定手段をさらに備え、
上記第1判定回数及び上記第2判定回数のうち少なくとも一方は、上記走行道路判定手段によって自車両が一般道路を走行していると判定されているときには、高速道路を走行していると判定されているときよりも回数が多く設定されることを特徴とする障害物検知装置。 - 請求項2又は3の何れか1つに記載の障害物検知装置において、
上記検知回数判定手段は、上記障害物検知手段が障害物を検知可能な検知領域の内の所定領域において障害物が検知された検知回数を判定するものであることを特徴とする障害物検知装置。 - 請求項2乃至4の何れか1つに記載の障害物検知装置において、
上記検知回数判定手段は、車両前方の静止物体及び対向車両が障害物として検知された検知回数を判定するものであることを特徴とする障害物検知装置。 - 請求項1乃至5の何れか1つに記載の障害物検知装置において、
上記超過回数が上記第2判定回数以上になったときに、上記作動制御手段による上記車両の作動機器の制御を禁止する制御禁止手段をさらに備えることを特徴とする障害物検知装置。 - 請求項1乃至6の何れか1つに記載の障害物検知装置において、
上記作動機器は、ブレーキ手段であることを特徴とする障害物検知装置。 - 請求項1乃至7の何れか1つに記載の障害物検知装置において、
上記作動機器は、シートベルトを引き込んで、乗員を所定の張力で拘束するシートベルトプリテンショナであることを特徴とする障害物検知装置。
