厚さおよび坪量
10cm×10cmのサンプルを塗工フィルムからダイ切断して、重量を測定し、0.1グラム単位までの近似値にした。3枚の複製を測定し、平均した。TMI直接接触ゲージを使用して、塗工フィルムの厚さをインチ単位で測定した。測定を3〜5回行い、平均し、ミクロン単位で報告した。
空孔体積として表されるウェブの空隙率を、フィルムの厚さ(cm)および坪量(グラム/cm2)、並びにポリプロピレンの密度(0.91グラム/cm3)から計算した。空孔体積={1−[(坪量/0.91)/厚さ]}×(厚さ×100cm2)。
以下の手順を使用して、フィルムの吸油性特性を測定した。10cm×10cmのサンプルをウェブから切断して、重量を測定し、0.001グラム単位までの近似値にした。白色鉱油を満たした受皿にサンプルを浸漬した。サンプルを1分後に受皿から取り出した。ティシューを使用し、サンプルの表面の過剰の油を注意深く拭い去った。次いで、サンプルの重量を測定し、0.001グラム単位までの近似値にした。3つの複製を試験し平均した。吸油容量を、(D1−D0)/A(mg/cm2)で計算し、式中、D0=初期サンプル重量(mg)、D1=浸漬後のサンプル重量(mg)、およびA=サンプル面積(cm2)。
本発明のフィルムの油を吸収し、迅速に変色する能力は、以下の手順で決定される。鉱油を満たした受皿に85cm×15cmのフィルムのストリップを沈めた。フィルムが完全に変色するのに必要な時間を観察者がストップウォッチを使用して測定したが、これを表1に秒単位で報告する。
フィルムの透明化によって証明される、使用者に吸油を表示するフィルムの能力は、比色試験を使用して測定された。フィルムが油を吸収するとき、フィルムの色又は透明度が変化する。SZ−Σ80色差計(日本電色工業株式会社)を使用して、色の変化を測定した。9cm×6cmのフィルムのストリップを使用して、5層積重ねたフィルムを調製した。積重ねたものを色差計の中に入れ、色度値(L*)を使用して色を測定した。次いで、積重ねたものを鉱油の中に浸漬した。1分間静置した後、ティシューを使用して過剰な表面の油を注意深く拭い去り、色度を再度測定した。L*初期およびL*処理済みを表1に報告する。
以下の組成物、5D45ポリプロピレン(55%、ユニオンカーバイド社(Union Carbide Co.))、鉱油(38.7%、白色油#31、アモコ・オイル・アンド・ケミカル社(Amoco Oil and Chemical Co.))、ウルトラマリーンブルー顔料濃縮物(6%、60S1270−ペン・カラー(Penn Color))、成核剤(0.1%、ミラド(Millad)3988、ミリケン(Milliken))、および0.2%ステアリン酸亜鉛を有する、国際公開第99/29220号パンフレット実施例1に記載のものと同様に、微孔質フィルムを調製した。微孔質フィルムの厚さは32ミクロンであり、空孔率は約25%であった。
比較例で前述した微孔質フィルムの一面に、イソプロピルアルコール中、6%オリーブ油と3%スパン(Span)(商標)20(ソルビタンモノラウレート、ユニケマ(Uniqema)(ICI界面活性剤))の溶液を塗工した。マイクログラビアロールをリバースキス形態で使用し、溶液を微孔質フィルムに塗工した。イソプロピルアルコールを空気乾燥させ、オリーブ油コーティング重量1.4グラム/m2が得られた。フィルム厚は32ミクロンであった。
比較例で前述した微孔質フィルムの一面に、イソプロピルアルコール中、9%オリーブ油と3%スパン(Span)(商標)20(ソルビタンモノラウレート、ユニケマ(Uniqema)(ICI界面活性剤))の溶液を塗工した。マイクログラビアロールをリバースキス形態で使用し、溶液を微孔質フィルムに塗工した。イソプロピルアルコールを空気乾燥させ、オリーブ油コーティング重量2.7グラム/m2が得られた。フィルム厚は32ミクロンであった。
比較例で前述した微孔質フィルムの一面に、イソプロピルアルコール中、12%オリーブ油と3%スパン(Span)(商標)20(ソルビタンモノラウレート、ユニケマ(Uniqema)(ICI界面活性剤))の溶液を塗工した。マイクログラビアロールをリバースキス形態で使用し、溶液を微孔質フィルムに塗工した。イソプロピルアルコールを空気乾燥させ、オリーブ油コーティング重量3.3グラム/m2が得られた。フィルム厚は32ミクロンであった。
Claims (37)
- 熱可塑性材料の吸油性多孔質フィルム状基材を含む、使用者の皮膚又は毛髪を清拭するのに好適な吸油性ワイプであって、前記多孔質基材は、油が付着すると透明度又は色が変化し、前記多孔質基材が、ワイプ材料表面積の少なくとも一部の少なくとも1%に油ベースのコーティングを有する、吸油性ワイプ。
- 前記油ベースのコーティングが連続的なコーティングである、請求項1に記載の吸油性ワイプ。
- 前記油ベースのコーティングが非連続的なコーティングである、請求項1に記載の吸油性ワイプ。

- 前記多孔質吸油性ワイプが、熱可塑性繊維の圧着メルトブローンウェブを含む、請求項4に記載の吸油性ワイプ。
- 前記ワイプの空孔率が40〜80パーセントである、請求項19に記載の吸油性ワイプ。
- 油が付着すると透明度又は色が変化する、熱可塑性材料製の吸油性多孔質フィルム状基材を提供することと、前記多孔質基材に、ワイプ材料表面積の少なくとも一部の少なくとも1%に油ベースのコーティングを塗工することとを含む、使用者の顔又は皮膚に好適な吸油性ワイプを形成する方法。

- 前記吸油性ワイプが、熱可塑性材料で製造される多孔質延伸フィルムを含む、請求項23に記載の吸油性ワイプを形成する方法。
- 前記多孔質延伸フィルムの単位面積当りの空隙体積が、次式、
単位面積当りの空隙体積=[フィルム厚(cm)×1(cm)×空孔率(%)]/100
