Abstract
【解決手段】 操舵角センサ18による車両のステアリングホイール17の操舵角、左車輪速センサ16L及び右車輪速センサ16Rによる車速をパラメータとすると共に、運転者情報入力装置14から自動的に入力された運転者の視機能の代用である「年令」に関わる物理量として「スイブル反応時間」、「スイブル角速度」、「スイブル変動値」が加味され算出された制御量に基づき、各アクチュエータ11L,11Rが駆動され左右のヘッドライト10L,10Rの光軸方向が水平方向に平行な左右方向にスイブルされ調整される。このような制御量によれば、運転者に対して一律なスイブル制御ではなく、個々の運転者に適合したスイブル制御を達成することができる。

Claims (4)
- 車両のステアリングホイールの操舵角を検出する操舵角検出手段と、
前記車両の車速を検出する車速検出手段と、
運転者の視機能を自動または手動にて入力する視機能入力手段と、
前記操舵角検出手段による操舵角及び前記車速検出手段による車速に、前記視機能入力手段による視機能に関わる物理量を加味して前記車両の前照灯の光軸方向を調整するための制御量を算出する制御量演算手段と、
前記制御量演算手段で算出された制御量に基づき前記前照灯の光軸方向を水平方向に平行な左右方向にスイブル(Swivel:旋回)させ調整するスイブル制御手段と
を具備することを特徴とする車両用前照灯光軸方向自動調整装置。 - 前記視機能は、眼球光学系における水晶体の光学濃度、透過率、焦点調節速度、瞳孔径のうち少なくとも1つの特性にて設定することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両用前照灯光軸方向自動調整装置。
- 前記視機能の特性は、運転者の年令を代用して設定することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の車両用前照灯光軸方向自動調整装置。
- 前記物理量は、前記ステアリングホイールの操舵開始ののち実際に前記前照灯の光軸方向の調整が開始されるまでの時間であるスイブル反応時間、前記ステアリングホイールの操舵に基づく前記前照灯の変位速度であるスイブル角速度、スイブル制御中における前記前照灯のふらつきであるスイブル変動値であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項3の何れか1つに記載の車両用前照灯光軸方向自動調整装置。
