しかしながら、この包装用容器では、端面が直線状であるため、薄くかつ直線状で鋭い縁(耳)となっているおり、人の手や指等がこの端縁の長手方向に沿って擦れたりした場合には、鋭い縁によって人の手や指等にケガを負う問題点があった。

また、この包装用容器に物品を収容して展示するために包装フィルムを用いてラッピングする際、上記端面によって包装フィルムが切れ、包装をやり直しするケースも発生しており、包装に手間がかかるという欠点もあった。
そこで、この発明は、例えばシート成形等にて薄手の端縁が形成された包装用容器であっても、上記端縁によってケガをしたり、包装フィルムが切断したりすることの無い包装用容器を提供することを目的としている。

【課題を解決するための手段及び発明の効果】
上記目的を達成するため、この発明の包装用容器は、周側枠の上部口縁の突出部が端縁となっている包装用容器において、上記突出部を前後および/又は上下にジクザグに形成して端面に対して前後方向、上下方向に凹凸形状となるように構成していることを特徴としている。
上記構成の包装用容器では、周側枠の上部口縁の突出部の端縁が前後方向および/又は上下方向に対して凹凸形状となっているので、シート成形等にて形成された端縁が薄い状態となっていても、手や指等が端縁の長手方向に沿って移動した場合でも手や指等がケガをする虞を解消できる。

上部端縁が前後若しくは上下にジグザグ状となっていることによって、手や指等の一個所に連続して当接する状態となることがないため、端縁がナイフのように手や指等に切り込む事態となることはなく、手や指等にケガをすることがなく、包装フィルム等に対しても当接面積が少なくなり、フィルムが切断される虞も解消できる。
さらに、従来、シート成形の際に行われていた切断方法では、刃物が直線状であったために、切断面にケバやバリが生じていたが、切断面が凹凸形状となることによって、ケバやバリを防止することができるようになった。

上記凹凸量としては、0.2〜1mmの範囲に設定することができ、好ましくは0.5mm以下で、かつ凸部間ピッチを0.5〜5mmの範囲に設定することができ、好ましくは1mmに形成している。上記の設定値以下の場合には凸部間が非常に接近して直線状に近くなり、また、上記設定値以上の場合には、直線状に近い状態となり、いずれにおいても効果が減退する。
この包装用容器1は、容器内側に食品等を収容する容器として使用されるもので、一般的にシート成形により形成され、裁断されて製造されるものであるが、裁断時に周側枠10の突出部11bの先端を凹凸形状にカットしている。上記凹凸形状は、突出部11bの幅方向に凹凸形状としており、当該容器の取扱い時に突出部11bに手や指等が擦れたとしても、端縁が凹凸形状となっていることによって、端縁が非鋭利な形態とすることができ、手や指等に傷を付ける虞はなく、包装フィルム等が切断することも無くなる。したがって、シート成形により製造された包装用容器1であっても、安全な容器として提供することができる。
