2. Description of the Related Art In the production of toothbrushes, a method of fixing a bristle bundle with a metal member after inserting the bristle bundle into a bristle bundle insertion hole has been widely used. However, although this method can easily configure the device, it has disadvantages such as the fact that the thickness of the tooth-implanted portion of the toothbrush cannot be made thin, and that oblique hair implantation is difficult. This tendency is particularly strong in a brush having a small bristling portion such as a toothbrush. On the other hand, as a method that does not use a metal member, there are the following three methods, each of which is used properly according to the purpose.

In this method, due to the structure of the cavity, when the molding pressure is increased, the plastic material easily leaks from the gap between the hair bundle insertion holes.

(2) Type II (eg, USP5458400, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 9-182632) A hair bundle is planted on a substrate having a large number of preformed hair bundle insertion holes, and this hair bundle is planted. The substrate is placed in a mold and the opening of the substrate is filled with a plastic material.
In this method, although the step of molding the substrate is increased, hair bundles are implanted in the substrate filled with the plastic member,
Since there is a close contact portion between the substrate and the hair bundle, leakage of the filler from between the substrate and the hair bundle when filling with the plastic member is less likely to occur than in Type I.

[0006] These three methods are properly used according to the purpose. When oblique hair transplantation or thick hair tuft transplantation is required, type I and type II are more advantageous, and type III has flocking strength. Is rarely used because of its variability. Type I and type II are the same in that the brush handle part is formed while the bristle bundle is held and the planting part is integrated, and both are insert molding methods. Therefore, although the leakage of the plastic material from the gap of the hair bundle insertion hole is less in the type II as described above, it remains a common problem.

To solve this problem, studies have been made to reduce the gap between the hair bundle insertion holes as much as possible. For example, in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 10-52316, the following study is conducted. That is, the hair bundle is introduced into the holding hole for hair bundle insertion provided in the mold, the protruding end of the hair bundle is formed into a fused mass having a cross section larger than the cross section of the holding hole by the heating means, After the fused mass is positioned inside the cavity of the handle mold, the thermoplastic synthetic resin molding material is introduced (injected). In Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 10-52316, a resin having a low resin flow characteristic value of 17 to 40 g / 10 min is used as the molten resin injected into the handle mold.

As described above, when a resin having a low fluidity is used, it is necessary to increase the molding pressure. However, if the molding pressure is increased, the bristle tufts are easily disturbed and the hair tuft insertion hole The resin leaks easily. Therefore, the actual conditions are that the resin used and molding conditions (particularly molding pressure) are limited.

Further, USP 5458400 and Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 9-182632 disclose a method of forming a protruding end portion of a tuft of hair into a fused mass by a heating means in the manufacturing method of type II. In this method, the fused mass is also disclosed. However, there is a problem in that, during formation, the hair bundle is easily twisted or disturbed, and the substrate is easily deformed by heat generated by the heating means.

No. 1 installation part 31 and the board 11 installed in the installation part 31
The hair bundle shaping hole 32 connected to the hair bundle insertion hole 17 is provided. The hair bundle holding jig 30 in FIG. 4 is divided into an upper divided body 30A and a lower divided body 30B by a line 30L, and has a structure in which the hair bundles can be fixed by sliding (sliding surface 30L) on each other. . With this structure, after the hair bundle is inserted into the hair bundle insertion hole 30, the hair bundle can be fixed by sliding in the direction intersecting the hole axis of the hair bundle insertion hole 30. As a result, the movement of the hair bundle is suppressed during the melting or melt pressing treatment of the present invention, and the alignment of the end faces of the hair bundle is improved, which is preferable.
The slide mechanism for the upper and lower divided members of the hair bundle holding jig 30 may be divided into three or more. In the slide mechanism, the relative movement distance is about 0.1 mm to 1 mm, and the movement amount is selected depending on the state of holding the hair bundle.

It should be noted that, after melt-pressing with the impulse welding machine 100 (FIG. 10), ultrasonic vibration is applied from the beginning by further melt-pressing with ultrasonic vibration using the ultrasonic welding machine 200 (FIG. 11). By applying ultrasonic vibration, the substrate 11 and the bristle bundle 18 can be melted and fixed by frictional heat over a long length range of the bristle bundle 18 without causing twisting of the bristle bundle 18 due to. , The substrate 11 and the bristle bundle 18 are pressed while vibrating to firmly bond them so that they are mechanically entangled.
The pull-out strength of can be enhanced.

During melt pressing, the periphery of the rising wall 15 of the head 14 and the neck portion 13 are held by the shape holding jig 3.
After positioning and holding at 3, the base end surface of the hair bundle 18 is heated and melt pressed. This can prevent the surroundings of the rising wall 15 of the head 14 and the neck portion 13 from being deformed by heating. Since the shape holding jig 33 is intended to protect a portion that is easily deformed by heating,
It is not always necessary to cover the periphery of the rising wall 15 and the entire neck portion 13, and the structure and material may be selected according to the material of the substrate 11 and the thickness of each part constituting the substrate 11.
When the wall thickness of the rising wall 15 is thin and easily deformable, a shape holding jig 33 having a structure for covering the inner surface of the rising wall 15 on the back filling recess 16 side may be used. When the amount of heat required for melting / melt-pressing the hair bundle 18 and the substrate 11 is large and the amount of heat or the temperature of the heat body is high, a cooling mechanism such as water cooling or air cooling is attached to the shape holding jig 33 of the head 14. With the provision, it is possible to prevent an excessive temperature rise of the shape holding jig 33 of the head 14 and prevent the periphery of the rising wall 15 of the head 14 and the neck portion 13 from being deformed by heating. The same effect can be obtained by forming the shape holding jig 33 with a material having a high heat insulating property.

The filler 19 is blended with the constituent material of the substrate 11 or the hair bundle 18 and a material having an adhesive property by thermal adhesion or chemical adhesion in order to strengthen the adhesive force with the substrate 11 or the hair bundle 18. That is, it is preferable to heat the substrate 11 or to raise the temperature of the mold 71 to increase the thermal adhesiveness, and to increase the melting temperature at the time of injecting the filler 19 itself. Further, when the injection pressure of the filler 19 is increased, the adhesive force with the substrate 11 and the hair bundle 18 is strengthened, and the appearance (sink) is improved. As described above, the filler material 19 injected into the space on the back surface side of the substrate 11 (rear surface filling concave portion 16) smoothly flows on the melt press surface 18A at the base of the bristle bundle 18 and the space (concave portion). 16), which does not impart a collision force for tilting the hair tufts 18 to the base of the tufts 18 and improves the alignment of the tufts of the tufts 18 with respect to the substrate 11. . Further, since the hair bristle insertion hole 17 facing the space (recess 16) on the back side of the substrate 11 is closed by the above-mentioned melt press surface 18A of the hair bristle 18, the space (recess 16) is loaded. The filling material 19 does not leak into the hair bundle insertion hole 17, and burrs do not occur in the planting portion of the hair bundle 18.

By performing melt-pressing with the impulse welding machine 100, it is possible to gently press the bristle bundle 18 without applying mechanical vibration to the bristle bundle 18. Therefore, when the melt-pressed surface 18A of the bristle bundle 18 is formed. Disturbance of fluffing due to twisting of the hair bundle 18 can be prevented.

Further, the hair bundle insertion hole 1 for hair is provided on the back side of the substrate 11.
After the base end surface of the hair bundle 18 coming out of 7 is melted by a hot body such as hot air or a laser as a first-stage heating means, and then melt-pressed by an impulse welding machine 100 as a second-stage heating means, the heating means Is more preferable than the case where the number of hairs is only one step, because the hair transplanting strength (pulling strength) of the hair bundle and the hair is improved. The reason why the flocking strength is improved when the two-stage heating means is used is that the hair bundle insertion hole 17 for hairs is provided on the back side of the substrate 11 in the first-stage heating means, which is a non-contact type heating body such as hot air or laser. Since the entire base of the bristle bundle 18 projecting from the hair is heated, the melting region in the length direction of the bristle is widened and melt-pressed by the second-stage impulse welding machine, so that the melt-pressed surface is wide. It is presumed that it is formed over the range.

After melt-pressing with the impulse welding machine 100, further melt-pressing with ultrasonic vibration using the ultrasonic welding machine 200 does not cause twist of the hair bundle 18 due to application of ultrasonic vibration from the beginning. By applying ultrasonic vibration, the substrate 11 and the bristle bundle 18 can be melted and fixed by frictional heat over a long length range of the bristle bundle 18, and the substrate 11 and the bristle bundle 18 can be vibrated. It is possible to strengthen the pull-out strength of the bristle bundle 18 by pressing and firmly adhering them so that they can be mechanically entangled.
