Abstract

の不利を招かずに、制動時の“異音”の発生を防止出来
るブレーキパッド及びその異音発生防止方法を提供す
る。
【解決手段】異音発生防止方法は、摩擦材の表面の一部
に潤滑材ブロックを配設して置き、被制動面との摩擦に
よって生じた潤滑材粉末の作用によって、制動時の異音
発生を防ぐ様にしたことを特徴とする。ブレーキパッド
は、ベース部材に摩擦材を取付けたものに於いて、摩擦
材の表面側に点綴状に設けた埋設孔に、無機質潤滑材を
主材とし、摩擦材と共に摩滅する性質を備えた潤滑材ブ
ロックを埋設したことを特徴とする。無機質潤滑材とし
て、グラファイトを用いるとよい。又、埋設孔は、摩擦
材の取付用のリベット埋込孔を流用するとよい。

開けた埋設孔の夫々に、潤滑材ブロックを打ち込むだけ
で、同様な効果が得られる。 (c)摩擦材は、単一素材で構成された在来品で足り、
冒頭で記した従来品の様に、複数種類の摩擦材を組合わ
せる等の面倒な製作の手間を要しない。 (d)潤滑材ブロックは、その埋設基盤である摩擦材と
一緒に摩滅するので、潤滑材ブロックだけを、随時取替
える等の厄介な保守の手間も要しない。 (e)潤滑材ブロックの総面積は、摩擦板の表面積に比
べれば僅かであり、潤滑材が摩滅して生じる微粉の量も
微少なので、制動性能への悪影響は無視し得る。 (f) 総じて言えば、従来の同効品よりも“異音”の
発生防止効果が優れ、然も、制動感も良好なブレーキパ
