(57)【要約】 【課題】 製造装置の構造を複雑化することなく、フィ
ットギャザー積層体を有する使い捨てパンツを高速で製
造できるようにする。 【解決手段】 上下一対の不織布シート６，７間に、そ
の幅方向に弾性部材１が配設されて上記不織布シート
６，７の幅方向中央部を除く部分に固着されるととも
に、この不織布シート６，７の幅方向中央部において上
記弾性部材１が切断されてなるフィットギャザー積層体
２と、このフィットギャザー積層体２の幅方向中央部の
下面側に固着された補強用シート３と、上記フィットギ
ャザー積層体１の上面側に配設された吸収体４と、上記
補強用シート３の下面側に配設されたバックシート５と
を備えた使い捨てパンツ及びその製造方法。

Description

【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【発明の属する技術分野】本発明は、上下一対の不織布
シート間に弾性部材が配設されてなるフィットギャザー
積層体を有する使い捨てパンツ及びその製造方法に関す
るものである。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】従来、例えば、特開平６−１９７９２０
号公報に示すように、ウエストギャザーを有するバック
シートを所定間隔で下方へ折込んで長手方向に移送し、
移送中のバックシートの上面にウエストサイド弾性体を
長手方向に供給してその上面に押さえ用不織布を長手方
向に供給し、下方への折込み部分を除いてバックシート
にウエストサイド弾性体と押さえ用不織布とを接着する
行程と、バックシートと一体化したウエストサイド弾性
体及び押さえ用不織布をバックシートの下方への折込み
部分の上端で切断した後、下方への折込み部分を展開し
てバックシートをシート状に戻し、所定間隔でウエスト
サイド弾性体を有するバックシートを形成する行程と、
上記行程後のバックシートに、ウエストサイド弾性体の
存在しない部分に体液吸収体を接着する行程と、上記行
程後のバックシートに、股ぐり開口部を切除した後、股
ぐり開口部の中心線で切断して個々の中間製品に分離す
る工程と、ウエストサイド弾性体及び体液吸収本体を内
側に位置させて、上記中間製品を二つ折りしてウエスト
サイド部を接着する行程とを含むブリーフタイプの体液
吸収用具の製造方法が知られている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】上記公報に記載された
体液吸収用具の製造方法によれば、体液吸収本体の幅方
向中央部及び長手方向中央部を除いて、ウエストサイド
弾性体を左右方向に装備させることにより、ウエストサ
イド弾性体の設置面積を縮小して材料コストの低減を図
るとともに、ウエストサイド弾性体をバックシートの移
送方向に供給して製造ラインの高速化を図りつつ、上記
ウエストサイド弾性体を伸張させることにより容易に着
用可能であるとともに、着用者に圧迫感を与えることな
く、身体への密着性を高めることができる体液吸収具が
得られるという利点がある。
【０００４】しかし、上記のようにウエストギャザーを
有するバックシートを所定間隔で下方へ折込んで長手方
向に移送しつつ、バックシートの上面へのウエストサイ
ド弾性体及び押さえ用不織布を供給する作業と、下方へ
の折込み部分を除いてバックシートにウエストサイド弾
性体と押さえ用不織布とを接着する作業と、バックシー
トと一体化したウエストサイド弾性体及び押さえ用不織
布をバックシートの下方への折込み部分の上端で切断す
る作業とを行うように構成した場合には、これらの作業
が困難であるために、作業スピードを遅くする必要があ
るとともに、上記バックシートを下方へ折込むための折
込み機構を設ける必要があるために、製造装置の構造が
複雑になるという問題がある。
【０００５】本発明は、上記の点に鑑みてなされたもの
であり、製造装置の構造を複雑化することなく、上下一
対の不織布シート間に弾性部材が配設されたフィットギ
ャザー積層体を有する使い捨てパンツを高速で製造でき
るようにすることを目的としている。

【課題を解決するための手段】請求項１に係る発明は、
上下一対の不織布シート間に、その幅方向に弾性部材が
配設されて上記不織布シートの幅方向中央部を除く部分
に固着されるとともに、この不織布シートの幅方向中央
部において上記弾性部材が切断されてなるフィットギャ
ザー積層体と、このフィットギャザー積層体の幅方向中
央部の下面側に固着された補強用シートと、上記フィッ
トギャザー積層体の上面側に配設された吸収体と、上記
補強用シートの下面側に配設されたバックシートとを備
えたものである。
【０００７】上記構成によれば、フィットギャザー積層
体を構成する不織布シートの幅方向中央部を除く部分に
弾性部材が配設されてこの弾性部材が伸縮することによ
り、安定した着用状態が得られるとともに、吸収体が配
設されるフィットギャザー積層体の幅方向中央部に、上
記弾性部材の伸縮力が作用することが防止されて上記吸
収体の設置部がフラットな形状に形成される。そして、
上記フィットギャザー積層体の幅方向中央部の下面側に
補強用シートが固着されることにより、上記弾性部材の
切断部が上記補強用シートによって補強されることにな
る。
【０００８】請求項２に係る発明は、フィットギャザー
積層体を構成する一対の不織布シートの連続体と、これ
らの間に配設される弾性部材の連続体とをその長手方向
に搬送しつつ、この弾性部材の連続体を上記不織布シー
トに間欠的に固着した後、上記弾性部材をその非固着部
において不織布シートとともに切断し、上記弾性部材の
非固着部に対応する位置においてフィットギャザー積層
体の下面側に位置する部分に補強用シートを固着すると
ともに、同上面側に位置する部分に吸収体を配設し、か
つ上記補強用シートの下面側にバックシートを配設する
ようにしたものである。
【０００９】上記構成によれば、幅方向中央部を除く部
分に弾性部材が配設されてこの部分が伸縮可能に構成さ
れるとともに、吸収体が配設される幅方向中央部に、上
記弾性部材の伸縮力が作用しないように構成され、かつ
幅方向中央部の下面側に補強用シートが固着されること
により、上記弾性部材の切断部が上記補強用シートによ
って補強されたフィットギャザー積層体を有する使い捨
てパンツが、簡単な構造の製造装置により高速で製造さ
れることになる。

【発明の実施の形態】図１及び図２は、本発明の実施形
態に係る使い捨てパンツを展開してなる使い捨てパンツ
用素材を示している。この使い捨てパンツ用素材は、幅
方向中央部を除く部分に複数本の弾性部材１が幅方向に
伸びるように配設されたフィットギャザー積層体２と、
このフィットギャザー積層体２の幅方向中央部の下面
側、つまり使い捨てパンツの外面側に固着された前後一
対の補強用シート３と、上記フィットギャザー積層体２
の上面側、つまり人体当接面側に位置する使い捨てパン
ツの内面側に配設された吸収体４と、補強用シート３の
下面側に配設されたバックシート５とを備えている。
【００１１】上記弾性部材１は、線状又は帯状のゴム
材、又は東レ・デュポン社製の商品名「オペロン」等か
らなり、上下一対の不織布シート６，７間に伸張状態で
配設されてこの不織布シート６，７の幅方向中央部を除
く部分に固着されるとともに、この不織布シート６，７
の幅方向中央部において切断されることにより、この幅
方向中央分に弾性部材１の伸縮力が作用しないように構
成されている。
【００１２】上記不織布シート６，７は、ポリプロピレ
ン、ポリエチレン、ポリエステル又はレーヨン等の柔軟
な素材によって砂時計形に形成され、その幅方向の中央
部を除く部分に上記弾性部材１が配設された状態で、ホ
ットメルト等の接着剤により上層の不織布シート６と、
下層の不織布シート７とが、上記弾性部材１の配設部に
おいて一体に接着されることにより、上記フィットギャ
ザー積層体２を構成している。
【００１３】上記補強用シート３は、適度の剛性を有す
るプラスチックフィルム材等からなり、上記フィットギ
ャザー積層体２の幅方向中央部の下面側に固着されてい
る。また、上記補強用シート３の下面側、つまり使い捨
てパンツの外面側には、キャラクタ図柄又は文字等が必
要に応じて表示されている（図３参照）。
【００１４】上記吸収体４は、図２に示すように、不織
布又は穴あきプラスチックフイルム材等からなる上層の
透液性シート８と、プラスチックフィルム材等からなる
下層の不透液性シート９と、これらの両シート８，９間
に配設された粉砕パルプ、高吸水性樹脂又は保形用熱可
塑性樹脂等からなる吸収マット１０とにより構成されて
いる。なお、上記透液性シート８の左右両側辺部上面に
は、使い捨てパンツの長手方向に沿って線状のゴム材等
からなる弾性部材が添設された左右一対の立ち上がりギ
ャザー１１を設けることが望ましい。
【００１５】上記バックシート５は、ポリプロピレン、
ポリエチレン、ポリエステル又はレーヨン等の柔軟な素
材からなり、上記補強用シート３の下面側においてフィ
ットギャザー積層体２の下面全面を覆うように配設さ
れ、このフィットギャザー積層体２の下面にホットメル
ト等の接着剤により接着されるように構成されている。
【００１６】そして、上記フィットギャザー積層体２及
びバックシート５を有する使い捨てパンツ用素材がその
長手方向の中間部において二つ折りされ、上記フィット
ギャザー積層体２の左右両側辺部が、超音波シール機や
ヒートシール機を用いた溶着または接着剤を用いた接着
等の手段で一体に接合されることにより、図３に示すよ
うに、パンツ型に形成されるように構成されている。
【００１７】図４は、上記使い捨てパンツの製造装置を
示している。この製造装置は、上記フィットギャザー積
層体２の連続体を成形するフィットギャザー成形部１２
と、上記フィットギャザー積層体２の連続体に補強用シ
ート３を接着する補強用シート接着部１３と、上記フィ
ットギャザー積層体２の連続体にバックシート５を接着
するバックシート接着部１４と、上記フィットギャザー
積層体２の連続体上に吸収体４を供給する吸収体供給部
１５とを有している。
【００１８】上記フィットギャザー成形部１２は、一対
の不織布シート６，７をそれぞれ繰り出す一対の不織布
ロール１６，１７と、上記弾性部材１を繰り出す弾性部
材ロール１８と、上記不織布シート６にホットメルトを
間欠的に塗布する第１ホットメルト塗布機１９と、上記
両不織布シート６，７を圧接する圧接ローラ２０と、上
記ホットメルトの非塗布部において上記不織布シート
６，７とともに弾性部材１を切断する切断ローラ２１と
を有している。
【００１９】上記切断ローラ２１は、不織布シート６，
７間に配設された複数本の弾性部材１を確実に切断する
とともに、不要な部分を極力切断しないように所定間隔
で配設された複数個の切断刃を有し、上記弾性部材１が
設置された不織布シート６，７を間欠的に切断するよう
に構成されている。
【００２０】また、上記補強用シート接着部１３は、補
強用シート３の連続体を繰り出す補強用シートロール２
２と、この補強用シートロール２２から繰り出された補
強用シート３の連続体にホットメルトを塗布する第２ホ
ットメルト塗布機２３と、上記補強用シート３の連続体
を所定長さに切断する切断ローラ２４と、上記連続体が
切断されることによって形成された補強用シート３をフ
ィットギャザー積層体２の下面側に圧接して接着する圧
接ローラ２５とを有している。
【００２１】上記バックシート接着部１４は、バックシ
ート５の連続体を繰り出すバックシートロール２６と、
このバックシートロール２６から繰り出されたバックシ
ート５の連続体にホットメルトを塗布する第３ホットメ
ルト塗布機２７と、上記バックシート５の連続体をフィ
ットギャザー積層体２の下面側に圧接して接着する圧接
ローラ２８とを有している。
【００２２】上記吸収体供給部１５は、別工程で製造さ
れた吸収体４を上記フィットギャザー積層体２上の所定
位置に位置決めした状態で載置し、超音波シール機やヒ
ートシール機を用いた溶着または接着剤を用いた接着等
の手段で、上記吸収体４をフィットギャザー積層体２の
上面側に固着するように構成されている。
【００２３】上記製造装置を使用して使い捨てパンツを
製造するには、上記不織布ロール１６，１７から繰り出
された一対の不織布シート６，７の連続体の間に、上記
弾性部材ロール１８から繰り出された弾性部材１を配設
した状態で、これらの連続体をその長手方向に搬送す
る。そして、上記第１ホットメルト塗布機１９により不
織布シート６にホットメルトを所定間隔で間欠的に塗布
した後、上記両不織布シート６，７を圧接ローラ２０に
より挟持して圧接することにより、図５に示すように、
上記ホットメルトＨ１の塗布部において上記両不織布シ
ート６，７と、弾性部材１とを一体に接着する。
【００２４】次いで、上記切断ローラ２１により、上記
弾性部材１の連続体を図６及び図７に示すように、その
非接着部において不織布シート６，７の連続体ととも
に、破断線Ｃ１により切断することにより、上記不織布
シート６，７の間に所定長さの弾性部材１が伸張状態で
配設されるとともに、両不織布シート６，７に固着され
た上記フィットギャザー積層体２の連続体を形成する。
【００２５】そして、上記補強用シートロール２２から
繰り出された補強用シート３の連続体の上面側に、上記
第２ホットメルト塗布機２３によりホットメルトを塗布
するとともに、上記補強用シート３の連続体を切断用ロ
ーラ２４により所定長さに切断することによって形成さ
れた補強用シート３と、フィットギャザー積層体２の連
続体とを圧接ローラ２５により挟持して圧接することに
より、図８に示すように、上記弾性部材１の非設置部に
対応する位置において、上記フィットギャザー積層体２
の連続体の下面側に、補強用シート３をホットメルトＨ
２により接着する。
【００２６】次いで、上記バックシートロール２６から
繰り出されたバックシート５の連続体の上面側に、上記
第３ホットメルト塗布機２７によってホットメルトを塗
布した後、上記圧接ローラ２８によりバックシート５の
連続体とフィットギャザー積層体２の連続体とを挟持し
て上記補強用シート３の下面側にバックシート５の連続
体を接着する。
【００２７】次いで、上記フィットギャザー積層体２の
上面側に、吸収体供給部１５から供給された吸収体４を
載置した後、上記弾性部材１の非接着部に対応する位置
において、上記フィットギャザー積層体２の連続体の上
面側に吸収体４を位置決めした状態で接着する等によ
り、図９に示すような使い捨てパンツ用素材の連続体が
形成されることになる。
【００２８】このようして形成された使い捨てパンツ用
素材の連続体を、切断線Ｃ２において所定寸法に切断す
ることにより、図１に示す使い捨てパンツ用素材が得ら
れ、この使い捨てパンツ用素材をその長手方向の中間部
において二つ折りし、上記フィットギャザー積層体２の
左右両側辺部を溶着または接着等の手段で一体に接合す
ることにより、図３に示す使い捨てパンツを製造するこ
とができる。
【００２９】上記のように本発明に係る使い捨てパンツ
は、上下一対の不織布シート６，７間に、その幅方向に
弾性部材１が配設されて上記不織布シート６，７の幅方
向中央部を除く部分に固着されるとともに、この不織布
シート６，７の幅方向中央部において上記弾性部材１が
切断されてなるフィットギャザー積層体２と、このフィ
ットギャザー積層体２の幅方向中央部の下面側に固着さ
れた補強用シート３と、上記フィットギャザー積層体２
の上面側に配設された吸収体４と、上記補強用シート３
の下面側に配設されたバックシート５とを備えたもので
あるため、上記フィットギャザー積層体２を構成する不
織布シート６，７の幅方向中央部を除く部分に配設され
た弾性部材１が伸縮することにより、安定した着用状態
が得られ、液漏れの発生等を効果的に防止することがで
きる。
【００３０】また、上記吸収体４が配設されるフィット
ギャザー積層体２の幅方向中央部には、上記弾性部材１
が配設されていないため、この弾性部材１の伸縮力の影
響を受けて上記吸収体４の設置部が変形するのを防止す
ることができる。したがって、この吸収体４が配設され
た使い捨てパンツの幅方向中央部に皺が形成されるのを
防止して、優れた外観と安定したはき心地とが得られる
という利点がある。
【００３１】そして、上記フィットギャザー積層体２の
幅方向中央部の下面側に補強用シート３を固着したた
め、上記弾性部材１を不織布シート６，７とともに切断
するように構成した場合においても、上記弾性部材１の
切断部を上記補強用シート３によって補強することがで
きる。このため、予め所定長さに切断された弾性部材１
を上記不織布シート６，７の間に配設して固着したり、
従来例に示すように、ウエストギャザーを有するバック
シートを所定間隔で下方へ折込んで長手方向に移送しつ
つ、バックシートと一体化したウエストサイド弾性体及
び押さえ用不織布をバックシートの下方への折込み部分
の上端で切断する等の複雑な作業を要することなく、不
織布シート６，７の幅方向中央部を除く部分に上記弾性
部材１が固着されてなる使い捨てパンツを高速で連続的
に製造することができる。
【００３２】すなわち、上記のようにフィットギャザー
積層体２を構成する一対の不織布シート６，７の連続体
と、これらの間に配設される弾性部材１の連続体とをそ
の長手方向に搬送しつつ、この弾性部材１の連続体を間
欠的に上記不織布シート６，７に固着した後、上記弾性
部材１をその非固着部において不織布シート６，７とと
もに切断し、上記弾性部材１の非固着部に対応する位置
においてフィットギャザー積層体２の下面側に位置する
部分に補強用シート３を固着するとともに、同上面側に
位置する部分に吸収体４を配設し、かつ上記補強用シー
ト３の下面側にバックシート５を配設することにより、
上記使い捨てパンツを簡単な構造の製造装置を用いて高
速で連続的に製造することができる。
【００３３】しかも、上記のように補強用シート３の下
面側にバックシート５を配設し、このバックシート５に
よって使い捨てパンツの外面の略全体を覆うように構成
した場合には、使い捨てパンツの外面側に複数の素材が
混在することに起因する違和感の発生を防止し、見栄え
を効果的に向上させることができる。
【００３４】また、上記実施形態に示すように、補強用
シート３の下面側にキャラクタ図画をまたは文字等を表
示するように構成した場合には、不織布シート等からな
る半透明のバックシート５を介して上記キャラクタ図柄
等を透視することができるため、使い捨てパンツの装飾
性を効果的に向上させることができる。
【００３５】なお、上記使い捨てパンツの身体に対する
密着性を、さらに向上させるためには、図１の仮想線で
示すように、フィットギャザー積層体２の幅方向両側辺
部に位置する股ぐり部Ｂ１と、長手方向両端部に位置す
るウエスト部Ｂ２とに、それぞれ線状のゴム材等からな
る弾性部材を配設した構造とすることが望ましい。
【００３６】また、上記使い捨てパンツ用素材を、その
長手方向の中間部において二つ折りし、上記フィットギ
ャザー積層体２の左右両側辺部を一体に接合してなる上
記実施形態に代え、粘着テープまたは機械式面ファスナ
ー等からなる係止部材によって上記使い捨てパンツ用素
材の左右両側辺部を着脱可能に接合するように構成して
もよい。

【発明の効果】以上の説明したように、本発明は、簡単
な構造の製造装置により、フィットギャザー積層体を構
成する不織布シートの幅方向中央部を除く部分に配設さ
れた弾性部材が伸縮することにより、安定した着用状態
が得られるとともに、吸収体が配設されるフィットギャ
ザー積層体の幅方向中央部に、上記弾性部材の伸縮力が
作用するのを防止して上記吸収体の設置部が変形するの
を防ぐことができる使い捨てパンツを高速で連続的に製
造できるという利点がある。

Claims (2)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】 上下一対の不織布シート間に、その幅方
    向に弾性部材が配設されて上記不織布シートの幅方向中
    央部を除く部分に固着されるとともに、この不織布シー
    トの幅方向中央部において上記弾性部材が切断されてな
    るフィットギャザー積層体と、このフィットギャザー積
    層体の幅方向中央部の下面側に固着された補強用シート
    と、上記フィットギャザー積層体の上面側に配設された
    吸収体と、上記補強用シートの下面側に配設されたバッ
    クシートとを備えたことを特徴とする使い捨てパンツ。
  2. 【請求項２】 フィットギャザー積層体を構成する一対
    の不織布シートの連続体と、これらの間に配設される弾
    性部材の連続体とをその長手方向に搬送しつつ、この弾
    性部材の連続体を上記不織布シートに間欠的に固着した
    後、上記弾性部材をその非固着部において不織布シート
    とともに切断し、上記弾性部材の非固着部に対応する位
    置においてフィットギャザー積層体の下面側に位置する
    部分に補強用シートを固着するとともに、同上面側に位
    置する部分に吸収体を配設し、かつ上記補強用シートの
    下面側にバックシートを配設するようにしたことを特徴
    とする使い捨てパンツの製造方法。
