Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 分散剤と機能化された粘度指数改良剤とからなる潤滑剤であって、上記機能 化された粘度指数改良剤は、2から約50個までの炭素原子を持ち、且つ酸素 、窒素又は酸素と窒素を含有するエチレン系の不飽和な脂肪族又は芳香族単量 体をポリオレフィン共重合体にグラフトさせて得られた高機能グラフト共重合 体反応生成物を含んでおり、ディーゼルエンジンから発生する煤煙を、潤滑剤 の粘度に悪影響を及ぼさないで潤滑剤中に分散させることを特徴とする、ディ ーゼルエンジンにおける潤滑剤の使用。 2. グラフト共重合体が、(100,000の分子量を持った重合体を基準とし て)ポリオレフィン共重合体に対し、少なくとも13モル%のグラフトされた 単量体を含んでいることを特徴とする、請求項1の使用。 3. 単量体が次の表から選ばれたものであることを特徴とする、請求項1又は2 に記載の使用。 N−ビニルイミダゾール、 1−ビニル−2−ピロリジノン、 N−ビニルイミダゾール、 N−アリルイミダゾール、 1−ビニルピロリドン、 2−ビニルピリジン、 4−ビニルピリジン、 N−メチル−N−ビニルアセトアミド、 ジアリルホルムアミド、 N−メチル−N−アリルホルムアミド、 N−エチル−N−アリルホルムアミド、 N−シクロヘキシル−N−アリルホルムアミド、 4−メチル−5−ビニルチアゾール、 N−アリルジイソオクチルフェノチアジン、 2−メチル−1−ビニルイミダゾール、 3−メチル−1−ビニルピラゾール、 N−ビニルプリン、 N−ビニルピペラジン、 N−ビニルスクシンイミド、 ビニルピペリジン、 ビニルモルホリン、 及びこれらの組み合わせ物。 4. グラフト共重合体が、重合体の背骨上に少なくとも1.2重量%のグラフト されたN−ビニルイミダゾールを含んでいることを特徴とする、請求項3に記 載の使用。 5. グラフト共重合体が無水こはく酸のような適当な単量体又はフマル酸のよう な酸機能物を少なくとも1.2重量%含んでおり、酸機能物は重合体の背骨を 機能化したあとで、モルホリン、テトラペンタアミン、トリエチルテトラミン 、又は他の適当なアミン又は窒素含有成分で誘導体にされていることを特徴と する、請求項1又は2に記載の使用。 6. グラフト共重合体反応生成物が、 a)それが溶液グラフティング方法を使用して作られたときには、 少なくとも8、好ましくは16のADT値を持つか、又は b)それが溶融グラフティング方法を使用して作られたときには、 少なくとも1のADT値を持つ ことを特徴とする前記各項の何れか1つに記載の使用。 7. グラフト共重合体の背骨が、20,000から500,000の重量平均分 子量と、10以下の多分散性とを持っていることを特徴とする、前記各項の何 れか1つに記載の使用。 8. 潤滑剤が、洗浄抑制剤(DI)パッケージによって普通に与えられる、0. 1から10重量%までの、好ましくは0.2から7重量%までの、さらに好ま しくは0.2から4重量%までの、一層好ましくは0.2から2重量%までの 分散剤を含んでいることを特徴とする、前記各項の何れか1つに記載する使用 。 9. ディーゼルエンジンの潤滑剤として、請求項1−8の何れか1つに記載の潤 滑剤を使用することを特徴とする、ディーゼルエンジンから発生する煤煙によ て引き起こされる潤滑剤の粘度変化を制御する方法。
