Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the wiping performance by forming the wiping surface of a wiping cloth which is fitted on a wiper of a cut pile or the like with a synthetic fiber multi-filament crimping yarn without twisting, and respectively specifying the single fiber fineness to form the pile, the denier density of the pile and the pile length. SOLUTION: The pile length of a wiping surface is formed into a pile group 7 of 5-15 mm, and a pile yarn is formed of a crimping yarn of an endless multi- filament comprising a synthetic fiber of nylon or the like. For a specified pile knitting or the like, a base yarn for a chain knitting texture or the like to constitute a base fabric part and the pile yarn are knit-knotted, and it is most desirable as a manufacturing method. Any crimping yarn can be used as long as the crimping extension rate is 40% or lower after a free boiling which is a condition to prevent a lumping of the pile from being generated. A loop pile is slightly more favorable than a cut pile. The single fiber fineness of the pile yarn is approx. 1d-5d, and the suitable denier density for the pile fabric is 9,000-17,000 D/cm2.

2. Description of the Related Art Floor surfaces are cleaned with a vacuum cleaner, a broom or the like to remove relatively large garbage, such as garbage, fiber debris, fine paper and packaging film debris. House dust that has been caught on fine irregularities of materials or adhered to floors through oily components has been wiped off using a wiper with a handle, etc. to clean it. The rags and wet mops that have been used in the past are wet-type, and use the surface adsorption of water-wetted fibers to trap dust.

[0003] From the past, the surface of shelves and furniture, which dislike water, has been dry-clothed using a cotton cloth or the like. In recent years, dry rags and mops have come to be used on floors that should be wiped off with wet rags in the past, disliked the complexity of using water. For the former, knitted fabrics such as cotton and rayon, woven or non-woven fabrics are used, and for the latter, mops in the form of shaggy carpets with a pile length of cotton yarn or synthetic fiber yarn of about 5 cm are used. Easy-to-use forms are widespread. In some cases, a mixture of a surfactant and liquid paraffin or an oil agent is attached to the fiber so that the dust is adsorbed to the dry rag or the mop side in one way, so that the dust is more adsorbed.

Further, from the place where the carpet floor dislikes moisture, a roll of adhesive paper wound so that the adhesive side is on the outside is rotated in contact with the carpet surface to adsorb dust, and when the adsorption is saturated, the roll is peeled off. A type that is discarded and used as a new adhesive surface is used. Adhesive soft polyurethane resin rolls are used instead of adhesive paper to absorb dust, and the attached dust is washed away with water. After air drying, the adsorbent appears again and can be used many times. There is also one.

For cleaning floors and the like at home, dust in relatively deep recesses can be easily removed due to the spread of suction-type vacuum cleaners. In the subsequent finishing wiping, only the surface should be mainly targeted. became. Due to the progress of surface finish such as varnish and resin paint, improvement of assembly accuracy, adoption of cushion floor made of synthetic resin, and tatami mat flattened due to the transition of material, wiping with dry wiper has been done. It has come to be used heavily. In response to this, various types of patterned wipers have become widespread, and are called flooring wipers, etc.
Flat wiping cloths without unevenness are often used, such as using nonwoven fabric for the wiping action surface.

The material of the wiping cloth is mostly based on a synthetic fiber such as rayon, polypropylene, polyester or the like or a non-woven fabric obtained by blending them. From wiping cloths that utilize only physical adsorption of nonwoven fabrics, there are a wet type, which is called a wet type, which is slightly wetted with water containing a surfactant, and a wax type, which also has a polishing function.
Unlike the mops, these patterned wipers are characterized by the fact that the working surface on the floor and other surfaces is generally flat.

The patterned wiper is intended for use in the finishing stage of cleaning floors and the like, and is intended for use in tatami mats, synthetic resin floors, wood floors, and the like, and contains dusts called house dust. It is intended for wiping and removal of oily adsorbed dust, hair and pet hair. Therefore, the same dust removal effect as that of a conventional wet rag is desired. However, most of the wiping cloths that are currently available are made of non-woven cloth, so the dust removal effect is not sufficient, and the current situation is that rags are still used.

For example, since a wooden floor is formed of an elongated wooden board to form a floor surface and has many seams, the conventional wiping cloth is made of non-woven fabric and is generally flat, so that dust adhering to the seam grooves can be sufficiently removed. What you cannot do. On cushion floors, there are generally many types with uneven patterns, so that the function of removing dust in the recess is not sufficient. There were problems such as the inadequate function of removing dust from the indentations on the tatami mat. In addition, due to recent efforts to eliminate disposable products, it can be said that conventional nonwoven cloth wiping cloths, which are premised on disposable products, have problems in terms of resource saving. It is hoped that a wiper cloth that can be used repeatedly by washing and has a high dust wiping function, and that can sufficiently wipe the seams of the wooden floor, the handle recesses of the cushion floor, the seams or the folds of the tatami, etc., will be installed. It is being rare.

DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION The present invention has been made as a result of intensive studies to provide a wiping cloth for wipers for floors and the like, which has a better wiping function than a conventional wiping cloth based on a nonwoven fabric. It has been reached. In other words, in a wiper mounting wiping cloth used for wiping the floor, etc.,
The wiping action surface is a group of loops or cut piles made of a synthetic fiber multifilament crimped yarn having substantially no more, and the single fiber fineness of the pile is approximately 1 to 5 denier, and the denier density of the pile is approximately 9000 to 9000. 170
00 denier / cm 2 , pile length approximately 5 to 15 mm
The invention of a wiping cloth characterized by the following. By doing so, the following effects are obtained. Unlike the function of contacting the floor etc. with a unit of a thick thread such as a mop because there is substantially no more, a large number of monofilaments themselves contact and slide on the floor etc., giving a fine wiping function.
Dust is efficiently captured by the crimping effect of the crimped fibers constituting the pile. Since the pile is relatively short, the degree of freedom of the pile movement is small, and the captured dust is difficult to separate.
In the case of a loop pile, the trapping function by the sliding of the single fiber in the cross direction is added, and the dust trapping property is further improved.

In the present invention, an endless multi-filament crimped yarn having substantially no pile yarn is used. It is said that there may be more than tens of twists per thread, such as a low pile to increase the processability in yarn processing. Meaning. The pile cloth of the present invention may be made in any manner as long as it has a surface structure of a pile group, and may be manufactured by any of pile pile manufacturing means. That is, a warp knitting machine may be a pile raschel machine, a pile tricot machine, a weft knitting machine may be a seal milling machine, a sinker pile daimaru machine, a tufting machine, a double pile loom, a wire pile loom, a towel loom, or the like. However, seal milling knitted cloth and sinker pile knitted cloth have a problem in dimensional stability peculiar to weft knitting structure, so adhesive backing is required with synthetic resin latex, etc., which increases the number of processes. In addition, tuft pile cloth,
Double-pile woven cloth, wire-pile woven cloth, and towel-pile woven cloth also require backing with synthetic resin latex because the base of the loop pile is not sufficiently gripped by the base cloth.

In pile knitting using a double-needle bed double raschel machine or pile knitting using a single-needle bed raschel machine with a shaved needle, knit knots are formed between a ground yarn constituting a base fabric portion and the like and a pile yarn. The pile is firmly gripped by the base cloth at its base, and the base cloth also has the dimensional stability peculiar to the warp knitting structure, so no adhesive backing is required, making it the most desirable manufacturing method. .

First, a comparative study of the surface morphology of the wiping cloth was performed. Table 1 shows the evaluation results of the wiping performance of the non-woven cloth. The samples were purchased and collected. Table 2 shows the evaluation results of the wiping performance of the wiping cloth of the pile cloth, and the sample is a prototype made by the inventor. The method of trial production of the pile cloth in Table 2 is described. The pile yarn was 150 denier of multifilament temporary crimped yarn and 3 denier of single fiber fineness (hereinafter referred to as 150D / 3d) for both nylon, polyester and polypropylene. To reduce the crimp elasticity of the pile yarn, we used a temporary twisted yarn that was wound around a perforated tube into a cheese and steam-set.

The crimpability of the pile yarn is measured with a free boil (free water treatment in boiling water), dried, and measured with a load length of 2 mgf / d (2 mgf per denier) → 0.1 gf /
In the procedure of length measurement with d load length, each yarn having a crimping / elongation ratio after free boiling of 16 to 18% as shown in the following equation was used.・ Crimping / stretching rate = {(Load length of 0.1 gf / d -2 mg
f / d load length) /0.1 gf load length} × 100
(%) If the crimping / extension rate is large, that is, if the elasticity due to crimping is large, the pile shrinks greatly and the pile becomes stiff, resulting in a pile cloth as if it were felt. The inlay yarn and chain knitting yarn, which are ground yarns, were common to each pile fiber type, and a temporary crimped yarn 150D / 3d of polyester multifilament yarn was used.

Next, a method for evaluating the wiping performance of the wiping cloth will be described. Three types of evaluation floor material samples were used: a cedar board (transparent varnish finish), a cushion floor (noted as CF, color: Munsell 5Y9 / 0.8, irregular pattern type), and a rushed tatami table. The sample dust was prototyped as follows. Cotton and polyester 2 denier cotton were cut to a length of 1 mm and mixed 1: 1 to obtain a sample equivalent to cotton dust. Meanwhile, JIS

For the floor material sample, four 30 cm × 30 cm squares were prepared, and these were abutted, and the back side was glued to a wooden board.
A sample corresponding to a bed of 600 cm 2 was used. A soil substance having a mass of 40 g was evenly sprayed on the surface of the floor material sample, sufficiently rubbed with a soft rubber roll, and the soil substance which had not adhered inside out was lightly knocked down. Under the load of 1.5 gf / cm 2 , which is the pressure calculated from the average weight of a commercially available patterned floor wiper, this soiled floor material sample was put on a rubber padded evaluation wiping cloth having an effective area of 20 cm 2 as a floor equivalent sample. All parts were wiped three times. This soiled floor equivalent sample and the original sample (the sample before the soiling test) were
It was expressed by giving a grade value (grade) by comparing the difference between the colors seen between the color charts of the gray scale for contamination defined in L0801-1978. The higher the grade, the smaller the difference between the stained floor material sample and the original sample (grade 5; no difference), the higher the dirt wiping effect, and the lower the grade, the less the dirt is wiped and the less the wiping effect Is shown.

The evaluation results in Tables 1 and 2 are as follows. The pile cloth shown in Table 2 has a higher evaluation than any of the nonwoven cloths shown in Table 1 and has excellent wiping properties. In the pile fabrics shown in Table 2, the loop pile fabric was slightly better than the cut pile fabric in both nylon and polyester, and it was found that polyester was better in the loop pile fabric than nylon and polypropylene.

The tuft pile fabric was also studied. In a loop pile tufting machine with a needle spacing of 5/64 inches (corresponding to 12.8 needles per inch), two yarns of 150D / 3d polyester temporary crimping yarn are used to form a 1 / inch gap.
A loop pile fabric with a pile length of 9 mm was produced by tufting with one stitch. The pile density was 43 lines / cm 2 , and the pile denier density was 12000D. Similarly, a cut pile cloth was prototyped with a similar standard using a cut pile tufting machine with a needle spacing of 5/64 inches. The loop pile cloth and cut pile cloth made of this tuft were evaluated almost the same as the loop pile cloth and cut pile cloth made of polyester crimped yarn by Russell warp knitting shown in Table 2. Excellent wiping characteristics were shown.

Since a yarn in a normal woven or knitted fabric is subjected to a force in the direction of elongation, the crimping / elongation ratio may be high to some extent. However, in the case of a pile, a force in the direction of compression is applied. If the crimping / elongation ratio is high, the shrinkage of the pile becomes large, and the pile becomes a stiff pile, resulting in a pile cloth like felt. As the temporary twisting yarn used in this study, a yarn having a crimping / elongation ratio after free boil of 16 to 18% as described above was used. The relationship between the crimp / elongation ratio after freeboil treatment and the loop pile was examined. As a result,
It was found that when the processed yarn was 0% or less, preferably 30% or less, when the piled product was in a free state, no excessive crimping occurred and the pile did not solidify.

The crimping / extension rate can be adjusted according to each crimping condition of any crimped yarn such as not only the temporary crimping method but also the indentation type crimping method and the injection type crimping method. . However, the crimped yarn having a crimp elongation after free boil of approximately 40% or less required in the present invention is a special low crimped yarn. More crimped yarn is a medium and high crimped yarn of about 90% or more for polyester and 150% or more for nylon, and it is more reasonable to reduce the crimp by post-processing. Often there are.

As a method of reducing crimp, there is a method of heating and setting in a wound state. Ideally, a perforated tube is used so as to circulate heat well, and the winding density is 0.25 to 0.
If it is wound at a density of about 45 g / ml and steam set, a vacuum set method is preferable. In the case of a vacuum set, steam can easily penetrate into the yarn layer, so ordinary cones, cheeses, and other paper-tube-shaped windings may be used. Steam set conditions are nylon and polyester, temperature is about 130 ~

The crimped yarn for pile used in the present invention is required to be a crimped yarn having low crimpability, and is not limited to a temporary twisted yarn. Any crimped yarn, such as indented crimped yarn, jet-type crimped yarn, and conjugated (bimetallic) crimped yarn, can be used. Any crimped yarn can be used as the pile yarn of the wiping cloth of the present invention as long as the crimping and elongation after free boil is about 40% or less, under which the pile does not clump. Since the pile cloth of the present invention utilizes the hook effect of fiber crimping as a function of capturing dust by the pile, it is sufficient that the single fiber has crimps in a zigzag or wave shape. There is no need to limit to crimped yarn.

As described above, it was found that the wipe of the pile cloth of the multifilament crimped yarns of polyester, nylon and polypropylene had considerably better wiping properties than the wipe of the non-woven fabric. The reason for this is that the contact surface is three-dimensional, has better sliding suitability, and the number of surface fluff is greater than that of a nonwoven fabric with a flat contact surface, low surface fuzz density, and random direction of surface fluff. It is considered that the pile cloth with the upright surface fluff is better at capturing the dust attached to the floor sample. The reason why the loop pile is slightly better than the cut pile is thought to be that the U-shaped tip of the pile slides in the cross direction against dust, which acts like a hook. It is also considered that the sliding length with the floor is longer than that of the cut pile, and the attached dust is accurately captured in combination with the hook effect due to the crimping of the pile fiber.

Since it was found that the pile cloth made of the multifilament crimped yarn basically had suitability as a wiping cloth, the single fiber fineness of the pile of the pile cloth and the wiping effect were examined. As the fiber type, a polyester multifilament yarn used in Table 2 was used.

According to Table 3, it was found that the fineness of the single fiber was not so good with the thin cloth of 0.6d, and that the cloth with 7d was not good. It is thought that if it is too thin, even if the number of sliding fibers on the floor is large, the pile will not be rigid and the attached dust will escape. On the other hand, if it is too thick, the number of sliding fibers is too small, and it is thought that the efficiency of capturing attached dust is not good. From this, although the boundary of the single fiber fineness of the pile yarn of the pile cloth of the present invention is not clear,
It can be said that it is about 1d to 5d.

Next, the pile length of the pile cloth was examined. The pile length was expressed as the length when the pile was stretched until the crimp was fully extended, since the yarn used for the pile was an elastic crimped yarn. The trial method of pile fabric was based on the loop pile fabric prototype shown in Table 2. Table 4 shows the results.

According to Table 4, when the pile length was 3 mm, the wiping property was not so good, and when the pile length was 5, 9, and 15 mm, the wiping properties were almost as good. In addition, it was found that the wiping performance was reduced at 20 mm. This is because if the pile length is too short, there is no sliding effect as a pile, and the pile becomes flat, similar to a flat cloth, and the dust catching function peculiar to the pile cloth is lost, and the pile length is too long. The reason is that the pile is easy to move and the captured dust escapes, resulting in poor dust capture efficiency.

The pile density was determined by using a polyester multifilament crimped yarn 150D / 3d, and the knitting standard of the pile length of 9 mm of the loop pile cloth shown in Table 2 was used.
By changing the density, the number of piles between inches is 8, 10, 12,
As a result of examination by changing to 14, 16, 18, and 20 pieces, 10 to 18 pieces between inches were good in wiping property, and 8 pieces or less between inches became too coarse pile cloth, and the performance was close to that of nonwoven fabric. It is probable that the density of the piles between 20 or more is too high, and the degree of freedom of each pile movement is limited.

In the case of a pile cloth made of a substantially non-twisted multifilament crimped yarn, individual single fibers slide on the wiping surface of the floor. It is thought that the wiping ability is determined by the elasticity of the garbage. Regarding the pile density, considering that the appropriate fineness of the fibers constituting the pile is approximately 1 to 5d, it is considered that the density expressed by the fiber denier density on the fabric surface of the pile cloth can be expressed more accurately. . Since one pile is formed by reciprocating the denier of the used yarn, the pile denier density = the number of denier of the used yarn x
It is indicated by pile density (books / cm 2 ) × 2 (D / cm 2 ).

From the results of the study of the pile densities examined by changing the course density, it was found that the number of piles per inch in the good range of the wiping property was about 10 to 18 piles / inch, and about 200 piles per square inch ( 31 / cm 2 ) to 360 (56 / cm 2 ). If this is indicated by the pile denier density, it is approximately 9000 D / cm 2 to 17000 D / cm.
The interval between 2 can be expressed as the conforming density of the pile cloth as the wiping cloth.

EXAMPLE An example in the case of a Russell warp knit loop pile cloth will be described. As shown in 2 of Fig. 1, four piles of the side wrapping the short side at the time of mounting on the working plate are used as a method of manufacturing the pile cloth (the method of knitting four sheets at a time in the width direction of the knitting machine). The example performed in ()) is described. In addition, in order to minimize the number of processes after fabricating, a method was adopted in which the pile part and the base fabric only part were integrally formed using the characteristics of the warp knitting method.

Polyester multifilament, 1
Spindle 2 heater temporary twisted yarn 150D / 3d was used. The crimp and elongation of this yarn after free boiling is 93%.
Met. The temporary twisted yarn for pile yarn of the present invention requires a yarn having a crimp elongation ratio after free boil of approximately 40% or less. The crimp elongation rate is adjusted by adjusting the processing conditions, such as the temperature of the second heater and the elongation conditions during processing.
Although it can be adjusted in any way, it is possible to use a readily available general twisted yarn supplied in a mass production system in a wound state and steam set to reduce the crimp elongation rate. However, it was rather reasonable when considering supply, so this method was used.

This processed yarn was wound around a cone paper tube so as to have a winding density of 0.35 g / ml, and set at 150 ° C. for 10 minutes using a vacuum steam setter. The crimp / elongation ratio of this yarn after free boiling was 16 to 18%. This low crimped yarn was used as a pile yarn and was designed with a polyester loop pile shown in Table 2 using a Russell warp knitting machine with a pile length of 9 mm and a pile denier density of 130.
A loop pile cloth of 20 D / cm 2 (pile density 43.4 lines / cm 2 ) was manufactured. Utilizing the features of warp knitting machines,
Four rows were simultaneously formed in four rows in the width direction of a Russell warp knitting machine.

In FIG. 5, reference numeral 31 denotes a drawing yarn drawn by a zigzag line. The knitting structure is such that when the yarn is pulled out from the longitudinal direction of the four knitted fabrics, the four knitted fabrics are separated into four. There is no need to cut the knitted fabric in the longitudinal direction with a blade. The dashed line BB and dashed line CC in the width direction need to be cut with a heater knife (a method of cutting by heat melting). The broken line BB and the broken line CC of one wiping cloth surrounded by these coordinates are edge-stitched to prevent the end of the knitted fabric from being frayed, and then the long side of the loop pile warp knitted cloth is 350 mm and the short side is 250 mm. A finished product with one wiping cloth is obtained.

The wiper using this loop pile cloth as a wiping cloth is very good in the results of practical tests at homes, offices such as buildings, schools, and the like, and has much better wiping properties than conventional wiping cloths based on nonwoven fabrics. It was demonstrated that it exerts cleaning power. The wiping cloth using the loop pile cloth of the present invention is of a repetitive use type. Although it varies depending on the use situation, the results of the practical use test of repeated use and washing show that
The wiping function did not decrease so much until it was able to withstand approximately 15 to 20 uses and was worn out by repeated washing and use and became unusable.

The wiper equipped with the wiping cloth of the pile cloth according to the present invention has the following effects. (1) Since the wiping cloth using the pile cloth of the present invention has a pile group structure of individual crimped monofilaments of multifilaments on the working surface instead of a thread-like pile, it has an extremely high ability to catch attached dust and oiliness. It can easily wipe off dust and cotton dust that are firmly adhered to it, and has a cleaning effect comparable to that of wet rags. (2) The wooden floor is made up of a slender wooden board and is used as the floor surface, so there are many seams. The conventional nonwoven wiping cloth has a flat contact surface, so the dust adhering to the seam grooves could not be sufficiently removed. However, according to the wiping cloth of the pile cloth of the present invention, dust or the like adhering to the joint groove can be easily removed. (3) On the cushion floor, the function of removing dust in the concave portion is generally not sufficient with the conventional nonwoven cloth wiping cloth because of the large number of uneven patterns, but according to the pile cloth wiping cloth of the present invention, such a part is not sufficient. The dust adhering to can be efficiently removed. (4) The function of removing dust in the concave portions of the indentations on the tatami mat surface was insufficient with the conventional nonwoven cloth wiping cloth, but the wiping cloth made of the pile cloth of the present invention enabled efficient wiping. (5) The wiping cloth of the present invention does not generate loose hair from the use of the endless filament, so that it can be applied to, for example, industrial wipers which dislike loose hair. (6) Due to the recent movement to eliminate disposable products, there is a problem with the conventional non-woven wiping cloth that is premised on disposable, whereas the wiping cloth according to the present invention can be used many times. It is resource saving and leads to reduction of waste. As described above, the wiping cloth according to the present invention can be used not only for floor wipers with a handle and the like, but also for countercloths in construction sections, kitchenware, desks, canteens, etc. It has a wide range of applications and greatly contributes to industrial development in the field of using wiping cloths.
