Abstract

The present application relates to a ski boot structure. This structure comprises a boot which is made up of a first and a second element; the latter are asymmetrical with respect to the average longitudinal plane of the hull. These first and second elements are also partially superimposable to allow not only the optimal locking of the foot and the leg but also the possibility of achieving good walking even in the tightening condition of the upper and hull.

SUMMARY

The present application relates to a ski boot structure.

This structure comprises a quarter which is constituted by a first and a second element; the latter are asymmetrical with respect to the median longitudinal plane of the hull.

Said first and second elements are also partially overlapping each other to allow not only the optimal locking of the foot and the leg but also the possibility of achieving good walking even in the condition of. tightening the leg and shell.

The present application relates to a ski boot structure.

Currently known type boots are obtained according to three different manufacturing methods: a rigid shell shell to which a front quarter and a rear quarter are associated; a shell with overlapping flaps to which a single quarter is associated, having front appendages that are partially overlapping and interacting with the closing means, such as levers; shells with overlapping flaps to which a front quarter and a rear quarter are associated.

This last type is today the most interesting as with it there is an attempt to combine the advantages of a boot with overlapping flaps with those of a boot with rear entry, a solution which, however, to date, does not yet appear to be optimal.

Patent EP 0172158 is therefore known in which a ski boot is illustrated with a foldable or foldable rear part, for the rear fit, comprising a lower part (shell) consisting of synthetic material and a part of the upper consisting of an adjustable quarter compared to the hull, which is characterized by the fact that the hull, respectively al. The quarter has a slot in the area facing the toe, extending transversely to the central-longitudinal plane of the boot and a flap facing the toe above the slot and passing equally transversely with respect to the central-longitudinal plane of the boot, the final free area of which is lockable at various normal distances to the orientation axis passing through the hull.

This solution, like others, essentially has a drawback: in fact, if it is necessary for the user to walk, for example to travel up to the ski lifts, it is necessary to fully open the clamping means, such as the levers.

This subsequently forces the user to reset the desired degree of tightening and therefore to perform more operations before being ready to restart the descent on skis.

The main task of the subject of the present application is therefore to solve the technical problems highlighted by eliminating the drawbacks of the aforementioned prior art and therefore devising a ski boot which, in addition to allowing an optimal adjustment of the closure of the quarters and of the shell, allows the the user is able to temporarily achieve an almost vertical position for the leg in a quick and easy way, while at the same time being able to restore the desired degree of tightening of the quarters.

Within the scope of the aforementioned aim, another important object is to provide a ski boot in which, during the almost vertical position assumed by the leg, suitable for allowing optimal walking, the foot can remain optimally clamped in correspondence with the shell.

Another important object is to provide a ski boot which, in addition to allowing a temporary condition useful for walking to be achieved, at the same time prevents the foot from coming out.

Another important object is to provide a ski boot that allows to achieve an almost vertical position to the user's leg while maintaining clamping elements in the closed position, such as levers arranged transversely to the quarters.

Not least object is to provide a ski boot which associates with the preceding characteristics those of being reliable and safe in use, the same having contained construction costs.

The above mentioned aim and objects, as well as others which will appear more clearly below, are achieved by a ski boot structure comprising a shell with overlapping flaps or a rigid shell and at least one quarter, which is characterized by the fact that said at least one quarter consists of a first and a second element, asymmetrical with respect to the longitudinal mean plane of said shell, partially overlapping each other.

Further characteristics and advantages of the invention will become clearer from the detailed description of a particular but not exclusive embodiment, illustrated by way of non-limiting example in the attached drawings in which

With reference to the aforementioned figures, number 1 illustrates a ski boot structure, which is constituted by a shell 2, with overlapping flaps or a rigid shell with at least one closure point on the neck area 3 and / or on the forefoot, and a quarter 4 which is constituted by a first element 5 and a second element 6 partially enveloping the user's leg.

The first element 5 is articulated to the hull 2 in correspondence with a first pair 7 of studs located approximately in correspondence with the area of the malleoli, this first element being asymmetrical with respect to the longitudinal average plane of the hull 2.

In the particular embodiment illustrated, this first element 5 envelops the user's leg for at least 270 °; this first element 5 therefore has a body 8, enveloping the rear part of the user's leg, from which a first appendix 9 protrudes laterally, which completely envelops the frontal area 10 of the user's leg, partially affecting the internal lateral area 11 of the itself.

From the body 8, on the opposite side to the first appendix 9, a second appendix 12, which also partially affects the internal lateral area 11 of the leg and faces the end of the first appendix 9 to define, between the two, an opening 13.

In correspondence with the second appendix 12 the second element 6 11 is articulated by means of a second boss 14, which partially externally overlaps the second appendix 12 and the first appendix 9, occluding the opening 13.

Naturally, the second element 6 can alternatively be articulated to the hull 2 in correspondence with the second boss 14; in this case the second appendix 12 will not be present.

This second element 6 therefore has a free end 15 to which are associated with predisposed levers 16 which can be locked in correspondence with the first appendix 9 of the first element 5 in correspondence with the external lateral area 17 of the user's leg.

The second element 6 is also interconnected to the quarter 2 by means of a suitable third boss 18 sliding in correspondence with a predisposed first slot 19 obtained transversely to the shell 2 itself in correspondence with the opening 13 between said first and second elements.

The latter interact with each other by means of suitable interconnection means, consisting of a traction element, such as a cable 20, which is associated with a first end 21 at the end of the second element 6 opposite to 15, said cable 20 then passing externally to the first element 5 to involve predisposed tensioning devices 22, such as a rear lever 23 to / then be returned externally to the first element 5 and, through a predisposed opening 24 obtained thereon, associated with a sliding rivet 25 in a suitable SECOND slot 26 obtained transversely to the quarter 2, preferably on the opposite side to the first slot 19.

The use of the invention is therefore the following: starting from the condition of closed boot structure, illustrated in Figures 1 and 2, the rear lever 23 will be closed and therefore the first element 5 is leaning against the second element 6 and then it blocks, together with the latter, the leg inside the boot.

If the user wants to walk, it will be sufficient for him to lift the rear lever 23, while keeping the levers 16 tightened both for locking the flaps of the hull 2 and for locking between the free end 15 of the second element 6 and the adjacent surface of the first element 5, as illustrated in Figures 3 and 4.

By doing so, the first element will be able to oscillate around the first pair of studs 7, moving away from the second element 6, since the rotation of the rear lever 23 makes available a suitable section of the cable 20.

This displacement of the first element 5, and therefore its backward rotation, allows it to be arranged in an approximately vertical position, thus allowing the user to carry out walking comfortably, while remaining the first and second elements between them. associated, resulting in the levers still closed in correspondence with them and the hull

The backward rotation of the first element 5 is limited by the fact that the third boss 18 and the rivet 25 can slide in correspondence with the first slot 19 and the second slot 26, thus being allowed a well-defined movement.

If the user wishes to remove the boot, it will be sufficient for the same to open the levers 16 thus allowing the decoupling between the first and the second element and the opening of the shell.

If, on the other hand, after a moment in which the walking has taken place, the skier should put on the ski again, it will be sufficient to reposition the rear lever 23 in the initial condition, thus restoring the optimal conditions set.

It has thus been found that the invention has achieved the intended aim and objects, a structure having been achieved, a structure of a ski boot which allows both the optimal fit-off of the foot, and to be able to temporarily achieve an optimal arrangement of the elements suitable for facilitate walking, while maintaining the degree of adjustment of the lever tightening.

The transition from walking to skiing is just as quick and easy, the latter being achievable with the desired and pre-set degree of clamping for the levers.

The invention is naturally susceptible of numerous modifications and variations, all of which are within the scope of the same inventive concept.

The materials and the dimensions that constitute the individual components of the invention may of course also be the most pertinent according to specific requirements.

Claims (2)

CLAIMS 1} Structure of a ski boot, comprising a shell with overlapping flaps or a rigid shell and at least one quarter, which is characterized by the fact that said at least one quarter consists of a first and a second element, asymmetrical with respect to the longitudinal mean plane of said hull, partially overlapping each other. 2) Structure as in claim 1 which is characterized by the fact that said first element partially envelops the user's leg and is articulated to said shell in correspondence with a first pair of studs located approximately in the direction of the malleolus area, said first element which is asymmetrical with respect to the longitudinal average plane of said hull 3) Structure as per claims 1 and 2 which is characterized by the fact that said first element wraps the user's leg by 270 °. 4) Structure as per claims 1 and 2 which is characterized by the fact that said first element has a body, enveloping the rear part of the user's leg, from which a first and a second appendix protrude laterally, said first appendix completely wrapping the frontal zone of the user's leg and partially affecting the internal lateral zone of the same. 5) Structure as per claims 1 and 4 which is characterized by the fact that from said body, on the opposite side to said first, said second appendix which also partially affects said internal lateral area of the leg and faces the end of said first appendix to define, between the two, an opening. 6) Structure as per claims 1 and 5 which is characterized by the fact that in correspondence with said second appendix is articulated, by means of a second boss, said second element which overlaps externally and partially to said second appendix itself and to said first appendix so as to occlude said opening. 7) Structure as per claims 1 and 2 which is characterized by the fact that said second element is articulated to the hull at a second boss. 8) Structure according to one or more of the preceding claims which is characterized by the fact that said second element has a free end to which there are associated lockable levers in correspondence with said first appendix of said first element in correspondence with said external lateral area of the user's leg. 9) Structure as per claims 1 and 8 which is characterized by the fact that said second element is interconnected to said quarter by means of a predisposed third stud sliding in correspondence with a predisposed first slot obtained transversely to said shell itself at said opening between said first and second element .. 10) Structure as per one or more of the preceding claims which is characterized by the fact that said first and second elements interact with each other through predisposed interconnection means, consisting of a traction element, such as a cable, which is at a first end associated at the end of said second element opposite to said free end of said second element, said cable thus passing externally to said first element to involve predisposed tensioning devices, such as a rear lever, to then be returned externally to said first element and, through a suitable opening obtained thereon, associated with a rivet sliding in one second slot obtained transversely to said stems preferably on the opposite side to said first slot., 11) Structure of a ski boot as per one or more of the preceding claims which is characterized by being described and illustrated in the attached drawings
