Abstract

A plate-type binding with fast engage/disengage mechanism for snowboards including a support plate element (2) connected to the snowboard (30) used to support the primary and secondary latching devices (3) which are used to attach the user's boot to the binding. The latching devices include blocking devices (20) pivoted with the lever (2) between a pair of brackets (4, 11) which each has a cavity (14) for receiving the pivot (5) associated with the lever when the device is in the closed position, and an indent (16) that receives the pivot when the lever is in the intermediate blocking position.
