Nel settore dell’abbigliamento è nota la pratica di risvoltare il bordo dei pantaloni verso l’esterno per realizzare un risvolto. Tale pratica può essere indotta da esigenze di tipo funzionale, ad esempio per evitare di sporcare l’estremità dei pantaloni e/o per accorciare la gamba nel caso questi ultimi abbiano una lunghezza eccessiva, oppure da esigenze di tipo estetico, ad esempio per seguire la moda.
