Abstract

This invention concerns a mechanical transmission for drive wheels, of self-propelled machine tools in particular. In a transmission which comprises: a sprocket wheel 6 which is keyed on a motor shaft 8 supported revolvably on a frame 13; a ring gear 4 with internal toothing which is connected to the hub 2 of a drive wheel of a machine tool; at least one intermediate toothed wheel 5 which is coupled to the sprocket wheel 6 and to the ring gear 4 and which is revolvably supported by an intermediate member 9; two clutches, 3 and 7, are envisaged, each of them being provided with its own means of control operable from the outside, and which connect the intermediate member 9 with the frame 13 and with the motor shaft 8. <IMAGE>
