Abstract

Sistema per inumidire completamente un polimero secco e miscelarlo con acqua, o altro elettrolita onde ottenere una miscela elettrolita/polimero. Viene usato un imbuto nel quale viene introdotta acqua lungo un percorso circonferenziale per formare una parete di acqua vorticosa sulla sua parete interna. Il polimero secco viene stillato nell'occhio del vortice del girante. Il becco dell'imbuto si apre direttamente nel vortice o occhio del girante di una pompa che conferisce energia alla miscela. Dopo completo inumidimento del polimero secco, la miscela viene trasferita ad un serbatoio di miscelazione nel quale viene soffiato un notevole volume di aria ad una pressione relativamente bassa, mentre la miscela invecchia. La viscosità della miscela viene aumentata strutturando conformazionalmente il polimero all'interfaccia acqua/aria dell'aria soffiata. Dopo lavorazione nel serbatoio di miscelazione, il polimero viene estratto e usato per qualsiasi scopo conveniente.
