Equipment for selecting and bending iron bars for construction suitable for selecting and bending a plurality of bars in a substantially identical way at the same time starting from substantially identical bars, comprising a store, a roller conveyor track, a cutting and measuring shear, at least one moving arm for seizing and longitudinally positioning bars and a supporting bench: - the said roller conveyor 17 having means to abut bundles of bars 14 against a striking surface 18, - fork means 20 for positioning and vertically centring the bundles of bars 14 being present between the said roller conveyor 17 and the shear 39, - the said seizing and positioning moving arm 31 having at the base a seizing jaw 34 and acting together with the said striking surface 18, with relative vertical movement between the said moving arm 31 and the said shear 39 in the passing movement. <IMAGE>
