Abstract

A conveyor comprises an elongate bed, a conveying surface movable along the bed, first support means (14) at one end of the bed and second support means (19) intermediate the first support means and the other end of the bed to prevent the bed sagging, the position of the second support means (19) relative to the bed being adjustable by rams (26) movable longitudinally of the bed. The bed may comprise two parts (2, 3) which are pivotally interconnected towards one end of the bed and rams (29) may be provided for articulating the bed in the vertical direction. A third support means (16) may be provided at the opposite end of the bed. <IMAGE>
