Abstract

The invention relates to a device for opening artillery projectile fins, carrying a mounting body (1), an opening command member movable axially relative to the said body and control means for the said command member, comprising a piston (23) sensitive to the pressure of the gases in the launcher tube and a gas generator (32). The control means comprise, in addition to the piston (23), a striker (19) for the gas generator, a striker carrier member (13), to which the striker is connected by releasable blocking means (20), a locking member (22), retaining means and elastic means (29). The device ensures extremely rapid opening of the fins and an effective blocking of these in both the folded-up and the open position. <IMAGE>
