Abstract

The invention relates to a propulsive charge for ammunition comprising a finned projectile (5), consisting of a front part (6) and of a rear part (12), the front part surrounding the fin unit of the projectile (5) and the rear part (12) enclosing an ignition means (4). The rear part (12) is integrated in a case (2) and has a recess (10a), in which the front part (6) is engaged partially or completely in order to ensure that these two parts are fixed together. The recess (10a) is delimited by the case (2) alone or both by the case (2) and by the rear part (12) of the charge. The front part (6) is integrated in a housing (7) fitted on the projectile (5) and closed by means of a cover (8) having vents (11), said housing being fitted into the recess (10a) and forming a means for connecting the front part (6) of the charge to the projectile (5). The invention is used for ammunition of the finned arrow type. <IMAGE>
