Abstract

The invention concerns a hinge pin (101) for mounting a mobile panel on a fixed door frame comprising a frame hinge (103) wherein is provided an axial cylindrical bore (120) open at least at one of its ends, a strap hinge (102) wherein is provided an axial cylindrical housing (108) open at least at one of its ends, and a cylindrical male connector (104) linking in rotation the strap hinge (102) to the frame hinge (103). The invention is characterised in that the frame hinge (103) bore (120) contains an elastic member (130) capable, when it is compressed, of exerting on the male connector (104) a thrust force for balancing the mobile panel weight, which is applied via said strap hinge (102) on said male connector (104). The invention also concerns the use of said pin hinge for mounting a rotating panel and the door unit comprising it.
