Abstract

The present invention relates to a voting aid, in particular to a voting aid for visually impaired electors to vote. In a specific embodiment, there is provided a voting aid configured to receive a ballot paper comprising at least one ballot, the voting aid comprising at least one aperture arranged to overlie the at least one ballot of the ballot paper; identification means to allow the at least one aperture to be identified; securing means to allow the at least one aperture to be secured; and indicating means to indicate the at least one aperture is secured. The present invention therefore provides a more accurate and consistent way for visually impaired electors to vote without the aid of a companion or a presiding officer. <Figure 1>
