1383647 Benzodiazepines ROCHE PRODUCTS Ltd 7 July 1972 [8 July 1971] 32107/71 Heading C2C Compounds of the general formula (R<SP>1</SP>=H, Cl, Br, I, NO 2 ; R<SP>2</SP>=phenyl, o-fluorophenyl, o-chlorophenyl), are prepared by reacting a compound of the formula (X=Cl, Br, I), with hexamethylenetetramine under weak acidic conditions in the presence of a water-containing hydroxylic solvent. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 972,968 1,039,372 and 1,332,697.
