Abstract
1355899 Methylcobalamine L'OPOCHIMIE 1 Nov 1972 [10 Nov 1971] 50324/72 Heading C2V Methylcobalamine is prepared by reduction and methylation of hydroxocobalamine carried out simultaneously in an aqueous alcoholic solution through the action of a monomethyl ester of a dicarboxylic acid and a metal powder. Monomethyl oxalate and zinc powder may be used. An organic or inorganic cobalt salt also may be present. Examples are given.
