Abstract
Ένας χωρητικός αισθητήρας πίεσης σχηματίζεται από μια παράλληλη διάταξη πλακών όπου το ένα ηλεκτρόδιο είναι πακτωμένο και το άλλο είναι μία αιωρούμενη, παραμορφούμενη μεμβράνη. Οι δύο πλάκες είναι αγώγιμες καθώς αποτελούνται από πυρίτιο εμφυτευμένο με βόριο. Η αιωρούμενη μεμβράνη μπορεί να έχει σχήμα κυκλικό ή δακτυλίου. Παράλληλες διευθετήσεις κύκλων ή δακτυλίων κατασκευάζονται έτσι ώστε να αυξηθεί η συνολική μεταβολή της χωρητικότητας. Μία άλλη επιλογή αναφορικά με το σχεδιασμό του αισθητήρα είναι ο σχηματισμός ομόκεντρων δακτυλίων. Διαφορετικές αρχιτεκτονικές του αισθητήρα πίεσης μπορούν να πραγματοποιηθούν. Ένας πυκνωτής αναφοράς μπορεί να ενσωματωθεί έτσι ώστε να ελαχιστοποιηθούν τα θερμικά φαινόμενα αλλά και τα φαινόμενα που δημιουργούνται από τις παραλλαγές της διαδικασίας.
