Abstract

998,200. Ceiling tiles. PORON INSULATION Ltd. Feb. 8, 1963 [Feb. 10, 1962], No. 5287/63. Headings EIB and EIV. An expanded synthetic resin ceiling panel 1 is of pyramidal shape and has a hollow interior, the panel edges being formed with tongues 2 and grooves 6. The tongues and grooves are formed in pairs on adjacent sides of the base and have such projection that when engaged to mutually support the panels a gap 11 is formed between the pyramidal parts to allow hidden nailing. The pyramid may be truncated and have a minor or decorative plate flat surface and the interior of the panel may be filled with sound absorbing material. The panels may be received by tension springs.
