Abstract

998,039. Castors. E. WINTER, [trading as ERNST WAGNER APPARATEBAU]. April 2, 1963 [Aug. 4, 1962], No. 30733/63. Heading A4U. A castor comprises a double roller 11 having a spindle 10 reinforced, as at 10<SP>1</SP>, in its central region which engages a guide rod 8 such that the spindle 10, 10<SP>1</SP> is displaceable along the guide rod 8 perpendicularly to the castor axis D D. The guide rod 8 is carried between the rollers 11 by arms 5<SP>1</SP> on a rotatably mounted disc 5, the spindle 10, 10<SP>1</SP> being movable along the guide rod 8 against the action of a return spring 13 and having elastic stops 14, 15. A beam 17 extending between the arms 5<SP>1</SP> serves to limit rotation of the spindle 10, 10<SP>1</SP> about the axis of the cylindrical guide rod 8 which extends through the spindle reinforcement 10<SP>1</SP>.
