[Also in Division B7] In making a railway tank wagon, the tank 1, Fig. 1, is welded to longitudinal chassis members 3, each composed of two metal strips 8, 9, Fig. 3, bent longitudinally and so welded to the tank shell 16 and to one another as to form hollow girders made integral with the shell. The members 3 are connected by headstocks 4 and cross-bars 5. Axle-box guides 11 are welded to the strips 9 and the strips 8, 9 adjacent the guides 11 are joined by welded-in webs 12. Suspension supports 10 are welded to the horizontal bottom wall 13 of each strip 9. Inclined plates 6 are welded to each convex end 7 of the tank, and these plates 6 are also welded to the headstocks 4 and to the members 3.
