Abstract

979,996. Buckles. NEWEY BROS. Ltd. Sept. 13, 1962 [Sept. 15, 1961], No. 33120/61. Heading E2A. A slide comprises a plate with a central slot 12 and a series of notches 15 along the edges of the slot on both faces of the slide, the notches while maintaining the continuity of the edge of the slot provide a series of teeth to grip a strap. The sides of the slide may have rounded projections 13 or a central cross-bar. The plate may have a gapped end bar 20 and bars 22, 23 with notches, a curved bar 24 and an end bar 25 with projections 26.
