976,659. Glazing. W. P. FRALEIGH. Oct. 19, 1962, [Dec. 28, 1961], No. 39750/62. Heading E1R. A window sash 13 has a glazing strip 11 comprising a barbed leg 21, Fig. 9 mounted in a slot 17a, 17b Fig. 5 or 17 Fig. 7 in the sash so that the barbs 19 frictionally engage opposite side walls of the slot and a resiliently deformable projection 22, Fig. 9 which extends laterally outwardly of the leg and into engagement with a face of the pane 12a, 12b or 12, the projection being deformed by the pane, thus holding the latter securely against a shoulder 15 integral or fixable to the sash 13 or against a modified projection 22 as shown at 28 in Fig. 5 of a glazing-cum-spacing strip 11 in the slot 17b of a double glazed sash.
