Abstract

967, 802. Faller bars. S. AKROYD & SON Ltd. March 11, 1963 [March 9, 1962], No. 9085/62. Heading D1N. A taller bar has a longitudinally disposed groove into which the bases of pins are secured by a synthetic resinous material that fills the spaces between the bases of the pins and between the pins and the walls of the groove, the bases of the pins being connected together solely by means of the resinous material. Each pin is formed at its base so as to form a key to resist withdrawal. If the resinous material is injected into the grooves through holes 12 in the side of the faller bar the material filling the holes may form a retaining key, Fig. 1, alternatively, the groove may be undercut as shown in Fig. 2. During assembly of a faller, the pins may be held in a clamp consisting of two bars one or both of which is formed with parallel grooves to receive and hold the pins.
