956,193. Friction clutches. AUTOMOTIVE PRODUCTS CO. Ltd. March 18, 1963 [May 25, 1962], No. 20199/62. Heading F2C. A driven clutch disc comprises a pair of oppositely-facing resilient dished plates 15, 16 secured together at their outer peripheries and carrying friction facings 27 whose outer surfaces are parallel, the construction ensuring adequate frictional engagement with the faces of the flywheel and pressure plate in the event of distortion of the latter. Bent-out tongues may be provided in the plates 15, 16 in the region of widest separation to increase their resistance to flattening.
