A transparency mount has a main frame with a window for receiving a first glass, a recess for receiving the transparency, and an auxiliary frame fitting into the recess and having a window for receiving a second glass, the two glasses being identical; the main frame has an interior shoulder of a thickness equal to that of the glass, the auxiliary frame having again the same thickness, the depth of the recess being equal to the thicknesses of the transparency plus auxiliary frame; two outer covers are also provided. As shown, the main frame 2 has a window 3 in which fits a protecting glass 4. The frame also has a recess 5 for receiving the transparency 1, and into which also can fit an auxiliary frame 6. The frame 6 also has a window 7 into which fits a second protecting glass 8. Two outer metal enclosing covers 9,10 are provided, having window apertures 11,12 of slightly smaller dimensions than the glasses 4, 8. In assembling the mounting, the main frame 2 is fixed in the lower cover 9, and the first glass 4 inserted in window 3. The thickness of the glass is the same as that of the shoulder 13 of the frame, so'that the two top surfaces are flush. The transparency is inserted into the recess 5, and then the auxiliary frame 6 also. (This has corner notches 15 corresponding with projections 14 on the main frame.) The second glass is placed in the window 7 of the auxiliary frame (having the same thickness). Finally the top cover is added, and the covers locked in position. Specification 773, 114 is referred to.
