Abstract

939,044. Brackets. VERSATILE FITTINGS (WHS) Ltd., and D. H. PEACOCK. Oct. 27, 1961, No. 38635/61. Class 52 (5). Bracket roots 15, 16 have relatively staggered ears 17, 18 so that they can be brought together in pairs at the same position along channel section uprights 11. A bracket arm 24 can be provided on each root 15, 16 and is angularly adjustable by a pin and notch arrangement 26, 28. Alternatively, the arm may be welded to or integral with the root. Clamp plates 21 and tongues 19, 10 locate and secure the brackets on the uprights 11. Channel section shelf bearer 36 has slots 38 to receive the parts between notches 41-43. Alternatively, similarly slotted square section shelf bearers may be used. Clips 31, engaging the support arm at 32 and 33, may be used to secure a wooden shelf. Modified clips 31 and bearers for use with a glass shelf are described.
