Abstract
922,079. Extruding. KRONPRINZ A.G. Oct. 17, 1960 [Oct. 17, 1959], No. 35472/60. Class 83 (4). A metal tube is extruded from a hollow billet 7 closed at one end by introducing a predetermined amount of lubricant into the billet, pressing a mandrel 3 through the billet to force the lubricant into the annular gap 9a, and extruding the billet between the mandrel and die 6. The lubricant may be a powder such as ground glass or including ground glass, or may be in paste or fluid form.
